Shopper I get cold a little faster than others will this suit be okay in water up to 72 degrees?
DANNY S Yes , I think you would be fine. I wore mine two weeks ago in 61 degree water and stayed warm for a forty minute dive. You may also consider a Water Proof 5 mil hood , I also have a LavaCore long sleeve shirt that I wear under the wet suit for long dives ( very toasty ).
MATTHEW H I use the suit in water temps varying from low 50s up to low 70s. (California Channel Islands) It can get a little chilly in the lower ranges (although nothing that has stopped me making successive dives) and is very comfortable to dive in the upper ranges (just lose the hood and gloves.)
FORREST P This is one of your better cooler water suits without buying a dry suit. If you get cold easily make sure you are wearing the gloves and hood that go with this.
My wife and I have both this suit the W2 7mm and the heavier Waterproof gloves and hood for northeast diving and we have the lighter W3 3.5MM suit with thinner gloves and hood for Caribbean diving.
The W2 is much better than the rental suits for ease of on and off and limiting water flow through the suit because you have zippers at the neck, wrists and ankles.
We haven't wore the W3 suits yet so I can't comment on them until our Caribbean trip.
WILLIAM E the w2 7mm is a cold water wetsuit good for water temps down to
45 degrees F. It is an exceptionally warm cold water wetsuit, I dove Lake Michigan in summer at depths of 60 to 80 feet with a temp of 55 to 58 degrees F and never was cold. Surface temp was around 74 degrees F and I was extremely comfortable almost a little to warm for those surface temps but down at depth on the wreck's it was warm. I also dive this wetsuit at a local rock quarry, temps ranged from 74 to 52 degrees F, no problems at all. I think you will find that this wetsuit will keep you very warm. This wetsuit is not "strechy" like some others but it excels with the bent elbows and Knees for easier movement. With all the research that I did looking for a cold water wetsuit, I kept coming back to the WaterProof 7mm, glad I did. I also purchased the 5mm gloves, 5mm boots and 5/7mm hood to complete the package, they work great together.
SHANE K Yes! I'm a California diver and Waterproof is by far the best products i have ever used. The W2 is an amazing suit and Waterproof has thought of all of the little details. I would suggest getting the vented hood as well, even that has a mesh style vent...again, WP covers all of the little things.
The suit is very comfy and uber-bouyent though and you may need to add an extra 5 pounds to get down. They are expensive but I've ditched all of my Henderson gear and replaced with WP with no regrets.

MARK Y I am a new diver that got my certification in the fall after the temperature had fallen into the 60's. I hate the cold and had not planned on diving in the cold. I bought the waterproof for its features and what I had been told by experienced divers. I used the suit in water in the 60's and was very warm and comfortable. Two other divers that were diving with me bought the same suit shortly after and are very pleased with the suits also.
