STEPHEN K Yes it is supposed to be user replaceable . However I have not actually had to replace mine yet. It is a great dive computer !
KEVIN B yes it the battery is replaceable by the user. Since I've bought mine back in early 2011 I have not had to replace the batter as of yet and have over 110 dives with it.
WILLIAM N Yes. There are detailed instructions in the instruction manual. It recommends having your UWatec dealer do it to insure a water tight seal.

Can I change the battery myself in the transmitter if and when I get one?
LARRY B The tank pressure transducer transmitter is not required. Yes you can replace the transmitter battery yourself following the precedures in the users manual.

yes you can dive without a transmitter, you just need to have a pressure gauge on your regulator. I don?t trust a transmitter, as I have had them dump on me and then you have no tank info. Yes you can change your own battery in your computer and also in the transmitter. You just need to make sure the O-ring is good and seated properly.

How many hours will the sensor continue to pick up the signal? Will I
need to bring a back-up sensor?
COPIOUS C Unfortunately when I received my Luna...the battery was dead in the transmitter. LeisurePro is sending me a new one at this time. I haven't been able to use the transmitter as of yet. I always err on the side of caution, and always bring a back up battery for both my transmitter and computer when I dive. I don't think either battery for the computer or transmitter would quit after only 80 dives though.

WILLIAM N In the desktop software under Options/Galileo Setup, there is a list of default languages available( when Luna is connected via infared) Chinese is not one of them. There is an option for additional languages,but I do not know where one would find them.

TERRANCE K It gives me what info I need and is easily readable even under poor light conditions such as diving deep. I wish it was a bit smaller, but I am getting used to it now and don??t mind the size, and it fits well on my wrist. I don??t like consoles...to easy to drag across rocks and drop a tank on them.....yikes!

Shopper Does this computer with its built in compass have the ability to store your entry location and then guide you back to that point if needed?
Marilyn S The compass is just a compass. It will not specifically guide you from point to point. You can, however, set a reference bearing. A dot will appear to in the position of the set bearing. Setting a bearing allows you to navigate towards a reference direction. If you have set a reference bearing, arrows will appear to the left or to the right of the numeric bearing indication, to show you in which direction you should turn in order to match the set bearing. The Galileo also automatically marks the positions at 90 and 120 degrees to the left and to the right of the set bearing, in addition to the position at 180 degrees. The compass is tilt compensated and can be used on the surface as well as during any point of the dive.

To answer your question, yes, it will store your "course line", but it is not a GPS. If you know your start position you should be able to compass course out to your secret spot assuming you take into account any current and know your strong leg. Every diver has a stronger kick from one leg or the other, and over a given distance it will make a difference how far you are off, one side or the other from you intended course. Since at times when heading down on a dive and not being able to see the bottom for reference. I take note of some point of land or object so I can use the compass to orient myself once I reach the bottom.........the rest is easy. The compass in the Luna can take quite a tilt without a hangup, which makes it a super deal.
I would buy this computer again if needed. Very happen with the money spent!!!
