Mariano T Hi, will you recommend it for a liveaboard trip? Im travelling from argentina to panama and then to bahamas to take a liveabord cruise.
JILL B I've never done a liveaboard trip, so I'm not sure. It's definitely big enough to fit a lot of items into.
CARLYN T My husband and I each have one and like them very much. They are lightweight and have ample room. I would not use it on deck to replace a boat bag but for travel to the boat they would be perfect.
GARY A I really love this bag. Its very roomy and easy to over pack. my only concern on a live aboard would be stowing the empty bag. If you know there is room great if not I would look at another bag like the Mares Cruise Roller Foldable Backpack with Wheels. It will fold up small for storage.
BRANDON T Get the 3 in 1'offer with the backpack inside.... It's a great bag but the backpack is great for after the flights. Using it is better than lugging the big suitcase around on outings on boats of the shore.... even on a liveaboard you dont need te big bag near the tanks and the backpack will carry everything you need from your quarters to the tanks. Also, be careful of weight limits on flights. It's a big bag and will hold way more than 50 pounds when full. Hope this helps
PIPKIN D Hi. The bag is good. Lightweight. I have found it to be just a bit too small for my needs. My gear is older and bulkier than the new stuff and I just can't get it all in one bag with the Traveler like I could with my old bag. Next time I'll go a step up in size. Hope this helps. SUSAN L This is quite a big bag (in spite of being called "Medium"). It travels well, will hold pretty much everything you will need to use on your liveaboard. It will take up a bit of space where you stow it while on the liveaboard, because it doesn't collapse completely (due to the wheels, handle, and stiffeners), but it does collapse well enough to fit in most spaces I've see provided for luggage storage.
CAMERON H I would definitely recommend it. My boyfriend and I went on a live aboard with it and we were able to get both our sets of gear in it except our regulators. It is easy to check on the airplane as well, but ours was just at 50 lbs so you have to be careful about the weight unless you don't mind paying extra.
JEFF H Good light bag holds a lot. Doesn't fold or collapse down, so question for liveaboard operator is suitcase storage! But they've got to be prepared for that! (You wouldn't want it standing in your cabin.)
Mine is one trip old, so can't attest to whether it is wear-durable though. My old Akona bag I will swear by---and it's only 4 lbs heavier--I thought this Aqualung was going to be a bit lighter as mine weighs in a pound heavier than they state. If the lbs don't bother you, I'd recommend the Akona bag that has the fln compartments on both sides, outside... I removed the canvas pockets attached to the front to save weight and to help prevent it from being front-heavy and tipping over (razor blade to stitching!).
