Shopper What is the weight and what size does it compress to for packing?
OLGA B The bag weighs 5.7 lbs and rolls down to 15 in by 11 in by 7 in. The 15 inches is the hard plate with wheels. The rest you could compress down more. Personally, I place this bag completely unrolled into my suitcase and pack my items inside the bag nested in the suitcase. The bag is really sturdy and easy to pack scuba gear into.
Marilyn S The empty weight of the RMB-1 Roller Mesh Bag is 6 lbs. (info from Tusa) The base where the wheels are is reinforced so does not fold flat. The rest of the bag does.
IMRE T This bag is very light ~2lbs. and folds almost flat for packing.
RICKIE B When empty, the mesh bag folds easily to the base plate at the end and could fit into a back pack or other carry case (less than a foot wide and a couple inches high). Weight is a couple pounds, as the base plate for the wheels is very rigid to ensure no breakage. We have been very satisfied with the bag. It holds my weights, fins, hoses/gauges, and wetsuit. I carry my BC separately.
Stephen H Very light bag for its strength. The base wouldn't collapse much but the rest of the bag flattens out.
LISA B For me, I have found that filling the bag w my dive items and then putting it as one into my travel luggage makes the easiest packing sense. It doesn't compress small enough to merit squishing and packing alongside my gear.
One note: be sure to confirm with your dive resort/dive site that you can actually utilize a roller bag. I have found that some rugged islands (Ie: Bonaire), the unpaved, gravely, uneven terrain are better suited to a drawstring duffel with padded shoulder straps.
Happy diving!
