Questions about this item:
Shopper Why Did You Choose This?
MICHAEL E They came with the fins I bought. Would not have purchased them alone prior to trying them. Now that I have I woudl certainly buy them with any new fins.
MIKE P For scuba, I will always use spring straps after using these.
MIKE P For scuba, I will always use spring straps after using these.
JAY W Ease of getting fins on and off. Haven't used them yet.
JACKIE C the ease of getting fins on and off in the water
DAVID E H Very robust design. Excellent quality. Recommended for all Tusa fins.
NICHOLAS M Great! Easy Off and On!
PHILLIP B Secure permanent attachment without having to drill holes in your fins.
MICHAEL B I chose these for ease of donning and doffing my fins quickly!
MICHAEL B I chose these for ease of donning and doffing my fins quickly!
Jimi B My strap is 13 inch (total) . 14 1/2 measured pole to pole. What size?
Jimi B Thank you! My fins are xl but my feet sit really far into them.
Marilyn S Based on those measurements I'd recommend small.
JONI L Love the spring strap ..... Wouldn't use anything else ... But ... Really ... Don't understand the question ????? !!!!!
DOUGLAS M Jim,
The only why that I can answer this that the strap length is dependent on the fit size of your fins. The fit size of my fins is large, therefore I got the large spring straps.
I really like how they work, and have never had any issues with them.
Jimi B What are the lengths of the three sizes ?
Marilyn S S = 14in, M = 15in, L = 16in I have had these for several years now without any issues. They work great.
ELAINE T I don't know of the exact lengths, maybe the manufacturer could provide specs. I wear a Henderson size 5 Hyperstretch bootie and I got the small straps, and they fit OK.
But I ended up returning the straps because springs are very stiff at least when new(even the hard rubber/plastic piece in the middle of the strap is fairly hard) and left a narrow pressure point on my heels, and are very heavy for travel. I think that this is just part of the design of this kind of strap.
Jimi B These come in three sizes ? I was asking lengths of each size of the TUSA :for correct strap size.
TIMOTHY W Just one size. Worst straps ever. One stretched right away on first dive. Can't adjust. Good thing I brought backups. Do not buy.
Jimi B Will these fit the Aquabionic by Cetatek WARP1 fins?
RAY J Not sure they fit my aqualung and the mares fins
PAMELA M I never wore them fins were returned. .. too large for my small frame
JOSHUA B Do not know. I bought mine as a package with TUSA fins.
Shopper My fins are cressi pro light M-L, should I get small or medium?
RON L I'd say go with the small - there's no way to make them smaller if they're too big, but there is a lot of 'strech' in them.
Steve S The only way to figure out the correct size would be to put on your fin with boot and use a tape measure to measure from post to post around the back of your heel. Then subtract 1.5-inches and use the size guide to match your measurement.
DELON F Medium should be perfect!
Bruce H My wife has "SMALL" 16 year old TUSA Liberators XTens which she won't partt with, but she loves my spring straps. She has small feet even with boots on and her current (original) strap is almost flush to the pocket. Based on what I've read here, you should get one size smaller than your fin size. Is there an XSMALL in this product or will the Small spring likely work with the Small fin?
Monica s There is not an xs size. Small should be fine.
David P Would these fit Mares X Stream Fins?
MICHAEL W I dont know about X Stream, I have used them on a pair of Mares fins my wife has and they fit fine.
HAMID G They seem to be specific for the TUSA. I haven't used Mares X to see if their fins are similar to the TUSA
LARRY B I'm sorry, I do not know if it will work on other than TUSA. One thing I will say is to get the correct size. I got the XL, which was too large and never held my foot properly in place (fins popped off the 1st time I hit the water after a giant stride.)
Shopper Do these fit Tusa Liberator X-Ten fins? I assume a medium strap for a Large fin, yes?
RALPH B Hi there, I purchased a set of Tusa Spring Straps in 2008 and love them. Appears they have changed the design since then as they now use plastic ends to connect to the fin rather than the metal version I have which have to be cleaned after salt water dives to prevent corrosion. I have large fins and use the medium strap. As for fitting the fins you asked about I'm can't say for sure, but based on the pictures I see then are likely to fit that design. If not, sent them back. Hope this response is of value to you.
RAY J not sure about the fin. But your size is right. Great strap
alnbobby a I just bought a pair of Tusa X-Pert Zoom Z3 fins, size Medium, and they came with a pair of medium Tusa Spring Straps. I have a size 9 foot, and the fins seem to fit fine with my booties. However, the Spring Straps are way loose, and there doesn't appear to be any way to adjust them. Any suggestions? Should I exchange the Spring Straps for the smaller size? Thanks in advance for your response.
KEITH S I would get a small. I love my spring straps! Good Luck with yours!
alnbobby a Thanks all for the responses. The Tusa Spring Straps do have a smaller size, and since they came as an extra "accessory" with my new fins, I'll plan to return my medium straps for the smaller straps, which should fit way better. Thanks again all.
RAY J great strap just go to the smaller size. There is no way to adjusted them. Also the salt water will discolor the straps.
JACKIE C not sure if there are sizes in the strap..... If not your fin may be to small. I wear a 7 - 7.5 shoe and I have the small fin and it fits great with the bootie and the straps. Was not much help, sorry..
LARRY B And to think I thought I was the only one with the exact same problem. I also bought the Spring Straps and they were too large.
I love the concept, but ended up ripping up an old tee shirt and stuffing cloth into the toe of the fin so the Spring Strap would fit better (pretty high tech, huh?)
The timing of your question is interesting as for this dive season I gave up and put the original straps back on.
I could never find a way to adjust them and compounded the mistake by keeping them too long to exchange them.
In your case, I would exchange them asap for a smaller size.
Best of luck, enjoy the Zoom fins (those are great) and you'll like the Spring Straps as well once you get the correct size.
SAMANTHA S I had the same problem and exchanged them for the XS-Scuba model instead they seem sturdier than the Tusa and fit better, I hope this helps
RALPH B I have size 11 foot and the medium springs that I purched work fine for me. There is no adjustment or way to shorten the springs. I agree with your poropoal. replace and try with small size spring straps.
Dave T My Tusa zoom are several years old, and the sizing reads M-ML would I still order the small?
ALDEN C My fins are a small and I bought the small spring straps. They fit well, but snug. I'd say you definitely need a medium. I hope this helps.
KEITH S I bought the small's for my M-ML and I love them ! I will never go back too the rubber straps ! Good Luck !
Dave T Thanks thats the answer I was liiking for. Size specific.
Dave T Thanks, very helpful comment.
LEONARD D hi,
personally i have the medium spring strap size.
but i would suggest that you wait with this purchase a bit, Tusa came out with a new model of spring straps - TA-81.
i would look into it...
good luck!
Dave T Thanks for the heads up, do you know who carries this or still not on the market.
LEONARD D you can read about them on the tusa web site.
leisurepro should be getting them soon
MICHAEL E Wow good question. I have no idea. I like the product, but I havent used it in about a year and a half. Shed a tear for me.
Hopefully someone can find out for you. In regards to the strap, I bought a new set of fins and they came included. So I did not go through the same process.
Mike
JANET S I have older size M Tulsa fins, and the small spring straps are perfect. I highly recommend the upgrade!
RALPH B I ordered the medium Tusa Spring Straps back in 2008 and they have worked great. I still believe the small would have been too small for my fins/feet (I wear size 10.5 shoes). The only issue I've had is limited corrosion on the metal mounting (which have the appearance of being lead) so I now treat them with good car wax before each dive trip. Hope this helps.
Shopper This item fits in the tusa x. Pert z3. ??
AMBER C WE have them, just never put them on! I would assume they fit fine since they came with our fins
KENT D Yes, it fits Tusa X-Pert Z3
NANCY B They work great with those fins. I absolutely LOVE them!!!
STEVE S Used the spring straps on the Xpert, and very happy with the upgrade. Wonder why TUSA doesn't outfit these with the spring straps with the fins. They are durable, easy to use, and saves more space by not having to carry "save-a-dive" kit with extra straps/buckles - something I've needed several times before installing the spring kit. As the standard TUSA buckles are industry standard, these should work just with other brands too. Note, this kit is not like some of the hybrid kits out there that afix a spring strap to old style plastic buckles (and still prone to breakage). This kit completely replaces the buckle assembly with a metal hardmount, and is permanently attached.
Shopper Do these work with Oceanic open heel split fins?
LeisurePro S Sorry, no. Check out the Manta straps here.
Shopper How do I know what size strap to choose?
LeisurePro S Some people like to choose a size down from their fin for the snuggest fit. If you have a bigger boot or like a looser fit, you can choose the same size as the fine.
Shopper What size strap should I order for Medium-sized Tusa fins?
LeisurePro S Yes, I would recommend starting out with a small for the snuggest fit.
Shopper What size should I purchase for Scubapro Large Spllit Fins? Thanks.
LeisurePro S Medium should work out well.
Shopper - What size straps should I purchase for size L Tusa Xpert Zoom fins? - Is this a set of 2 spring straps, or does this price only include 1 strap?
LeisurePro S medium strap and the price is for a set of 2
