Shopper Can you use this with Ikelite housings? If so, how do you attach this to the housing with the L type connector?
TIBOR T Ikelite usually has its own type of connector, depending on the model of the housing and camera. Your best bet is to contact Ikelite and ask them.
STEVEN F Sorry, I am not sure we use it with a sea and sea housing.
RICHARD S This Sea and Sea cable attaches to the camera housing and the strobe with a friction fit male round o-ring. The cable has male o-ring fittings on each end. If you do not have a round female socket on your camera and strobe, it will not work. The 90 degree, 'L' connectors, are great because they don't stick straight out of the strobe or camera. This GREATLY reduces the possibility of snapping off the fiber optic cable at the fitting; especially at the strobe when someone on the boat lays the camera face down.
CARL W I used the fiberoptic cord to sync strobe(s) to a Canon compact camera in a Canon brand housing. I needed to mount velcro on the case. The strobe is synced to the camera's built-in flash. I have no experience with Ikelite. To answer the question one needs to know the exact camera model, strobes, and what connections are made inside the housing. If the camera is setup with a built-in flash then the sync cord will work on any housing that can accept a velcro attachement of the end of the cord. There are many other cosiderations such as pre-flash, flash sync speed.
CAROLYN E Sorry, But I don't know anything about Ikelite housings. I bought mine for an Olympus system. One end attaches to the front of the housing and the other to the strobe - so it uses two cords. I think that here is also a TTL connector that attaches to the camera and one for the housing, and then this cord goes from strobe to strobe - but I'm not sure of this because I have never been able to get that type of hook up. Sorry I can't be of more help.
