While I have not had the opportunity to use paddle board and paddle to test its on-water performance (it is still winter here), I have set it up and it appears to be everything as advertized in terms of stiffness and construction quality. As with any inflatable it is probably going to be a little sluggish compared to a hard board, but it is light, and the portable nature of the product is key for my purposes. It is surprisingly compact. The weight of the material used is similar to your average better quality pvc inflatable boat. The pump, bag, pressure gauge, and valve all fairly high quality. Loaded, the bag still has plenty of room for a few pairs or shorts and miscellaneous items, so as long as you are going someplace warm and can stick to the weight limits you might not need to pay the airlines for that second piece of luggage. I look forward to using this board on an upcoming family vacation to the islands this spring, and in messing around in our local rives and estuaries where I live here in Southeast Alaska this summer (yes, a kayaking dry suit will be necessary for that).
