I own sea life 8.0 with digital pro strobe, can I add SL980 with dual tray?
ROBERT M I have Pro Strobe and SL980 both. I ended up taking most of my pictures just using SL980. It did a good job of lighting up subject I was trying to take picture of.
MICHAEL P Yes. I used this light on a SeaLife 8, 12, and Canon G12 with a strobe. It comes with two lengths of screws to accommodate single or dual trays. Light works very well, but be careful not to push the pressure release button, which is located near the on/off button. This will result in flooding and ruining the light. This light makes a good primary/secondary night dive light also.
JAY C A dual tray isn't necessary. Most of the sealife camera flash arms can be mounted one on each side by using the longer screws that come with the setup. This overlaps the bases forming a dual tray. If you don't have the screws, they are pretty inexpensive and Leisurepro carries them.
WILLIAM H I JUST ADDED ONE TO MY SEALIFE IT WORKS GREAT.
DANIEL L Sure can but you will also need a longer knob for the double tray / camera.
I love my light / strobe combo.
DIANNE C Yes, you can, it's the same set-up as having dual strobes. I have found the color is true with this light. Make sure it is sealed correctly before diving and use silicone grease on o-rings. Get in the habit of turning off the light - it's easy to leave on after videoing, which burns the batteries
