Sandra H Can these be used with open back fins (Apollo), spring straps and tropical diving? Hard, tennis shoe soles on most booties make it hard to get my fins on and off quickly.
ROGER P Yes, but with smaller fin size than with boots. Also, a standard fin strap will work better, as a heavy spring strap will probably start to make a wear spot on the heel.
FRANKIE C The sock is not designed for open heel fin, rather for full sole fin. I use my sock for full sole fin to over come the problem of slippery cause by bare fool after fin is off. However, I believe if your open heel fin pocket is fit enough to really wrap around your feet with sock on, it might work. Or you can buy one of those tropical booties with thin sole.
THOMAS T I guess they can, I used my pair once and never again. They are uncomfortable and hard to put on, especially on a boat. By the way, I tried 3 different sizes...
I would suggest getting a different brand, and thicker neoprene.
