Bought this watch in July 12' to keep track of my underwater hunting freedives. After about 100-150 dives (several outings), while reviewing the dive log the watch would go into some sort of countdown and was trapped in this mode. It would continue to countdown and then stop, frozen. The only way for it to get out of this mode/frozen was to pull the battery and start over. I've changed the battery after the first episode, but it continued. This watch has a bug, or atleast mine does. If you are looking for a dedicated freediving watch, spend the extra coin on something that is more dedicated to freediving. This Pyle watch is a basic bottom timer, good for a beginner to track their dive times, but will be useless as the beginner advances their skills. I'm not sure if I can return/exchange for another to determine if it's just my watch or is it a falt in the operating system.

This is an affordable watch that is great for freediving. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive freedive computers, but it does have basic functions. I made 85 dives to 50-60fsw and it measured depth, temperature and dive time very accurate. Easy to learn with provided instruction booklet. I erased all my previous dives and it was simple to learn. Nice construction/quality and the strap is very nice and comfortable. I did switch from Celsius/Meters to Fahrenheit/Ft. At first, I thought the temperature conversion was off by 5 degrees, but it seemed to correct itself the next day (not sure why). You can push a button when surfacing from a dive to keep track of your surface interval. There is no auto surface interval, but easy to push a button. This watch and instruction booklet look very similar to another watch/computer for $300.00 from a big name manufacturer.

What a great watch! It automatically activates dive mode once you are below 5ft. Has unique beeps to keep you aware of your current dive status. I would pay double the price because this watch is worth it!

Works well for the lake diving that we do. Have only had it down to 40 feet, but the fishing is poor below there. I don't do deco dives, so it does everything that I need. I will likely buy more for my wife and kids, We don't need computers, depth and time down work fine. Detects both fresh and salt water depths for accuracy, countdown timer if you did deco dives, rate alarms for decent and assent are nice and can be heard. Only two complaints are the auto on/off at 5 feet creates a lot of "dives" in spearfishing (SCUBA) not a problem, I would likely forget to turn it on if it didn't do it itself, and the date is day-month, again not a problem, just get used to it.

This is not a computer....it's a simple bottom timer with some additional features. I use it while freediving/spearfishing. Gives me the temp, dive time, depth...the only thing missing is the surface interval time, but that's O.K. considering it's $200 cheaper than the next freedive watch. I've been told it is the same internally as the Omer MK1. So far it has worked exactly as designed. It's easy to set up, easy to use. Not sure how durable it will be for the longrun, but at this price, it's worth taking a chance on Pyle.
