I bought this to transport my laptop when I travel. I got tired of carefully placing my laptop in it's neoprene case in the overhead storage bin and having some late boarding Neanderthal who is seated 5 rows away, trying to jam the d*mn steamer trunk he calls a carry-on into my bin without any regard for my property.

The computer is nestled into a shock resistant housing, the power supply and mouse sit next to it in a tray and all of my smaller accessories, sit in custom made in "pluck and pull" foam slots under my laptop.

The only downside is the case weighs more than the laptop, but hey...my old neoprene sleeve wasn't rated for 3' of water for 30 minutes.

I received this as a present. The color “desert sand” will work well in Iraq. I am completely ecstatic over the case and it will keep the sand out of my laptop. Only complaint: my laptop has a larger capacity battery & will not fit flat in the “Fitted Shock Absorbing Tray”.

I carry my laptop to and from work every day, take it on trips. I seriously doubt anyone could find a better case to protect their computer from damage from blunt force or water. I'm also a Firefighter and my department uses Pelican cases for several different applications from EMS equipment to exspensive cameras and computers. I'm SOLD on the Pelican Brand for whatever the need.

How useful is a case that protects my laptop while in my workshop, on a road trip, travleing abroad and just everyday work and play.
This case is tough, well made and durable, what more could I want?
