Mik1 is Awesome!!!

About Me Advanced
Comments about Omersub Mik 1 Freediving Wrist Computer:
This is a great free diving watch/computer. Its not too bulky and can be used as a watch of a dive computer. Ive tried timing my dives before to get an idea of my breath holds but it is too difficult with other watches. With the mik1 your dives are automatic once you hit the right depth. The oly thing that would make it better would be the ability to download the info to my computer.

excellent for free diving/spearfishing
By Luis spero

I have had this watch for a year already and I still love it as much as the day I bought it. It looks beautiful and expensive even as a regular watch so I wear it as my everyday watch. It is reliable under water and very simple to use. It is very well made and quite sturdy. I bang it around a lot and still not even a tiny scratch. It must have some sort of bullet proof glass. It is also very clear and easy to read underwater. As a speero free diver, it shows me only what I need to see when I am diving. So it is not cluttered with all the scuba functions that are not needed in free diving. There are only two limitation: (1) It will record up to 100 dives and (2) the air temperature is not accurate if you are wearing it outside the water, because it is skewed by your own body temperature. But to me that is an acceptable limitation.

About Me Casual/ Recreational
I bought this a few days before a PFI Intermediate class. I've been abdiving and spearing for 30 years and never had more than a guesstimate of my depth and times. The watch was simple to operate (don't need an EE degree because like freediving it's not that complex). Easy to read and did what I needed. It was essential to the excellent training that I received in the class. It will end all of the guessing I've been doing for years in discussions with my NorthCoast dive buddies. The manual that ships with it is in microfont but you can download a nice pdf off of the Omer website.Probably not that useful to a scuba person but a great comparatively inexpensive freedive watch that you won't mind wearing around all of the time. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because I can sleep through the alarm ;-). But that's probably just me.
Awesome watch

I use this watch for spearfishing to track bottom times and depth. The only thing I don't like is the auto dive mode which activates at 5 feet. Which makes pool practicing almost useless with this watch
