TIMOTHY W Yes, As the name implies this one is a wrist mounted Dive Computer. We purchased two of these for our family dive trip. We were already using Oceanic's VT3 Air Integrated Dive Computers but we needed two more for our daughters. We just returned from a week in the "Shore Diving Capital" on the Island of Bonaire! The VEO 3.o Air/Nitrox Wrist Dive Computers performed flawlessly! We have been using Oceanic's Computers and couldn't be happier!

MONICA D Yes, it comes with a wrist mount (already installed). The strap is sturdy and accommodates small wrists like mine and large wrists like my boyfriends. We both have one of these computers and neither of us had to make any modifications. It is good right out of the box. I highly recommend the VEO 3.0. Before I bought the VEO 3.0 I had a Suunto Vyper (which I don't recommend). I still use the Vyper but I had to remove it from its plastic casing and replace the strap in order for it to fit my small wrists and to ensure that pointy edges wouldn't puncture the latex wrist seals of my drysuit. Once the Vyper wears out, I won't be buying one again, but I would purchase another VEO 3.0. It is a very versatile computer!
JEROME H The veo 3.0 wrist dive computer is worn like you would a watch, it is not a puck style unit that you might choose to switch between a console unit to wearing on your wrist.

Scuter M Does the Veo 3.0 have: Time in and Time out for your dives? Or does it just tell you when the dive started and Dive time and you get to do the addition?

Scuter M I have gotten the Veo 3.0 and did a few dives with it. On the computer itself it only shows Time in and Dive time. If you download the data to your PC, it will give you Time in and Time out as well as Dive Time.
One thing I don't like. When you access the log mode, it may show one's Elasped Dive Time to be 35 min. But when you download to your PC, it will show the Elasped Dive Time to be 42 min. I've been told that this is because in the log mode, it starts timing your dive from the time you hit 5ft of depth to the time you ascend to 2 ft when it stops counting the dive time. But the real data starts when you first descend till you get back to the surface creating the difference in time. Sounds like a software flaw to me, Why not make both times the same? Now do I use 35 min as my Dive time or 42???

ROBERT M As far as I know it only tells the duration of the dive and surface interval - not the time in and time out of your dives.
MONICA D The Veo 3.0 tells you when the dive started and the total dive time. It does not tell you the time out.
Scuter M So what I am understanding here, that when you look only on the dive computer itself all you get is start time and length of the dive and if you want your end time, you have to do the math.
But, if you download the information to your desktop computer, it will give you time in, time out, and bottom time.

I use the pc software and download my dives, when i do this it gives me time in and out. It also gives me the bottom time as well. On a side note the Veo 2.0 does the same thing and I know this because my wife has that model.

Arturo F Which are the main differences between the oceanic veo 3.0 and the oceanic geo 2.0?
WILLIAM P The button controls on the 3.0 are easier to use. I found the 2.0 frustrating.
BRANT K The 3.0 has three buttons for navigation compared to two on the 2.0. The 3.0 supports multiple gas mixes and gas switching during a dive.
For most recreational divers, the difference is primarily in ease of use with the extra button on the 3.0. If you're ever going to use multiple air/nitrox mixes during a dive, you want the 3.0.
I've used both the console and wrist mount versions, and I personally recommend the wrist mount version. I monitor my PDC far more often than my SPG, and it's much more convenient to have it on my wrist.

KURT G I've used this computer on several dives down to about 115 feet and didn't have any issues. It's easy to use once you read the manual, otherwise it's a good computer.
BRANT K I own two veo 3.0 computers, haven't had any reliability issues at all.
MICHAEL S I've only had mine for about a year but it has been great so far. It's been on about 25 dives and I like it more than any of the rental computers that I've used.
ERIK C I tend to do a two-week dive trip once a year. I bought the Veo before my prior trip (last minute replacement of a failed other-brand computer) and used it 2-4 times/day for both weeks. It's too early to tell about long term reliability, but it's still good and ready to go for the next trip.
I really like the usability of the computer, the size, and the features. It's my favorite of the four or so I've owned.

MARTIN H I bought this computer about 4 months ago and really like it. I have had several Oceanic dive computers and have been happy with them all to tell you the truth. This model has been both reliable and easy to use/understand both above and below the water. I do a lot of shore diving as well as 100+ foot diving from boats and the computer has worked great all around. I would recommend to others for sure!
