Questions about this item:
Shopper @ Nathan, this is the response I received from Oceanic, " Thank you for your support of Oceanic diving equipment. Yes, ten minutes after surfacing you may enter the set F menu and change the air or nitrox setting. Note: after diving any nitrox mix from 21% - 50% you will not be able to set the unit back to air for 24 hours (until the screen goes blank). You can still set the unit to 21% nitrox with is equal to air."
Shopper What does "Single nitrox Mix to 50%" mean? Will this computer allow me to use different nitrox mixes in one day (ex. 1st dive 36%, 2nd dive 34%, etc.)?
BRET P Single Nitrox mix versus dual nitrox mix settings. On some computers they allow you to set two different nitrox mix and then scroll between those two settings (IE; setting one at 32% and setting two at 38%). With the VEO 2.0 there is only one setting.
Although; I can't find any documentation to this effect, you should be able to dive multiple nitrox dives with different mix percentages. You just need to be sure and set the correct mix percentage before every dive.
I hope this helps
NATHAN T No, the Oceanic VEO 2.0 only supports a single nitrox gas mix for repetitive dives.
Shopper Does this watch come with the transmitter or is that a separate purchase?
LeisurePro S The Veo 2.0 does not have air integration capabilities. Check out the VT Pro which is integrated and comes with the transmitter.
Shopper Why Did You Choose This?
DAVID C H I needed a new computer as my last one wasn't nitrox capable. Found this computer very hard and overly complex to operate. Oceanic had very poor instructions unless you took an on-line course.
