Love it. Very lightweight, nice soft sling travel.Just in case, get some gloves. Repetitve use is tough on wet hands.

Good polespeatr for the money

Very good spear for the money. Rugged aluminum construction with minimal flex. Shaft fills with water to increase weight/power, and is negatively buoyant so you can lay it on the bottom, if you need both hands. Would have liked to have a threaded, removable end cap for easier sling adjustment/replacement(like on the breakdown/travel version)but all in all, a very good and hardy tool for the money

Did get a chance to use it though!!!

About Me Recreational Diver
Bought this along with the JBL 6'fixed polespear for our trip to Pensacola Fl. Got down there and too many jelly fishing on the bay side to use it didn't even try on the gulf side because of fishing laws (can't use with 500yrds of a public beach). Gonna take it out to Beaver Lake AR soon and try it on catfish!!!I did get a chance to play with it though in the sand and dirt. This thing packs a punch that would take down a nice fish!!!GOOD ADVICE: research state fishing laws when you start your research to purchase any spearing device.

great for beginner
By Pole Spearo

Bought a speargun and found a pole spear to be more effective for shallow water reefs where prey is smaller. Good weapon for beginner. It also sinks so you can lay it down when on the bottom.
