Questions about this item:
Shopper How can I mount S38 wing without STA? Do I need book screw?
BILAL ABBAS Z You can directly mount the wing on the harness. The wing has slots through which you pass the cam bands and they keep the wing secure. No need for book screws. This is how the harness was designed. I dive with a 15L steel tank and it stays strong.
Se Hwan P Can you show me some pictures of mounting status? setting these gears is difficult to me..
ALEXANDER M Good afternoon!
If you use two coupled tanks, on them bolts already are. You should add two stabilizing plates only.
If you use one tank, you should add two special screws for fastening of your jack to suspended system.
Yours faithfully to you, Alexander
VP437351 T No need, the cam bands especially with a tank, keeps the entire setup together.
Se Hwan P Does included Cam Bands are removable? I want to attach some weight pockets on Cam Bands
BRIAN C Yes, the cam bands are removable.
BILAL ABBAS Z Yes they are. Pretty much everything is modular in this BCD. I however use an extra cam belt with weight pockets that I strap near the neck of the tank above the cam band. Keeps my trim better. Just my two cents. Hope it helps
Shopper Which interchangeable quick-release weight pockets are compatible with this BC?
Frank L This one: SKU: HLSHSNWS.
Shopper Does this system need attaching backplate(aluminium or steel) or only wing bladder? if need included plate in this stuff?
VP437351 T a plate is not required just wing unless u use it with double tanks, in which case u will need the hts mounting plates.
GEOFFREY S I went from an weight integrated Zeagle BCD to this Hollis and can't be more pleased. I dont have the backplate and use just the 37pound wing bladder. I have dove this +30 times and it is very durable and comfortable. It came with 2 tank bands that have been very secure. Thus- you dont need a backplate.
Geoff S Hello,
I just ordered this with the single bladder.
I know this does not come with the aluminum backplate, but would the black aluminum backplate integrate to this if I wanted to have a more rigid bc, and if so, is additional mounting hardware needed?
ALEXANDER M Good day, Jeff!
I use this soft system "Hollis HTS II" for technical diving and diving for 300 - 400 feet. This system is well kept two paired cylinders, and the wings on my back. Also on this system, I hang up 4 stage with transport and decompression gases. There is no need to strengthen the system ??????????? or steel back.
With respect to You, Alexander
Frank L You can add it, you would only need the bolts from the doubles or your single tank adapter to make it work.
ramon g which is the QLR system should I buy for a harness hollis hts 2?
jg g if you want your harness system to be all hollis brand, get the hollis qlr 20lbs weight system. i did not get this pair because it is too bulky , i'd rather choose the one from dive rite same function but different brand.and it is more cheaper. i saw somebody using a oms quick release weight system .
sang hyouk k Include Aluminum Plate?
BILAL ABBAS Z No it doesn't, it has a padded back which is quite comfortable. Overall a good BCD.
Shopper can i use different brand of wing for this HTS 2?
Shopper If I bought Hollis S Series (Single Tank) Wings with this system, what do I need for attaching them together? Do OMS Bookscrews for Back Pad work?
RODER H i bought the same system and love it, hollis made this harness to be part of a light weight setup, and says no back plate is needed, how ever i wanted to make the harness more rigid,so i sandwiched not one but two OMS back plates between the harness and the blader, all the holes match up,then i put it all togeather with a single tank adptor and yes i used bookscrews, the only reason i used 2 plates is so i could take more weight out of the pockets hope this helpes Roger
Shopper hi , guy
When you guy brought this set . do it come with Cam Band ??
RODER H this looks like like a great harness system,it does come with cam bands, but not a single tank adpt.but hollis says you dont need one since this is suppose to be a light weight system ,i choose to use one along with stainless plates to stiffin up the system, highly recomend the HTS system feel free to ask any more questions Roger
BILAL ABBAS Z Yes it has two cam bands. Its a good stirdy rig. Let me know if you need any other information.
Regards,
Bill
