SCOTT B 1. I have no clue what the best choice for your use is. I am not familiar with the entire product line offered by LeisurePro, let alone if a better choice exists elsewhere. Ultimately, that is a question that only you can answer. But, it may be helpful to contact the sales people who are more familiar with the full LeisurePro catalog. 2. Yes, the zipper holds the weight in, that's the point.

KIMBERLY F This can be a ditchable or non-ditachable weight pocket, depending on how your position it on your harness. If you position it with the zipper facing up, then it's non-ditchable. If you position it with the zipper facing down, then it is ditchable. I have a pair of these and use them as accessory pockets, thus the zipper is facing up on my harness.

RICHARD D This is not a dump-able a weight. I don't know the thickness, but it is a well built pouch I've been using on the back of my Zeagle tech for a year now.

JG S Fits on 2 in webbing. I placed on tank cam bands to trim but could be used on cummerbund 2 in as well. Very well made, heavy duty. Zippered and clean design. . NOT DITCHABLE unless you mount it w/in reach and unzip (hence position zipper to the down side). So even though you could in theory open the pockets, I cannot recommend as "quick release". Owned many top brands, and Hollis produces solid equipment, as does XS and others.

ANDREW B These are non ditchable. It has a zippered top making it east to load and secure, but there is no easy way to ditch the weight. I am using them for weight trim on my tank band. Not sure about the measurement of thickness. They are adequate. You can also look them up on the hollis website.

PAVEL V Yep, they can be attached to 2" webbing and tank strap. I've attached mine on lower tank strap. Each pocket can easly accept 2kg weigths (or 4lbs)

SCOTT B You can attach them to any 2" webbing. There is no snap or anything, so you would have to unthread the tank strap, and thread these on. Regarding size, think a 5lb solid weight. I don't know exact dimensions, but they are pretty much the same size (perhaps slightly larger) than a 5lb block weight.
