If you're a diving professional or just a diver who wants a buoyancy compensator that will deliver the properties of a top of the line traditional jacket style BCD Jacket with some unique features than the Cressi S300 is waiting for you.To further increase buoyancy and make it suitable for any type of dive, an extra air cell pocket has been added in the back-lumbar area of the jacket. It has an elastic retractor restraint band which, in addition to reducing the dimensions of the air cell, it accelerates deflation.
The BCD is manufactured from strong and durable 420 Denier Nylon materials and is equipped with two large zippered accessory pockets for storage of your back-up light or small digital camera. Pockets supply more room then on other BCD's that can barely hold your dive gloves. The integrated Lock Aid quick-release weight system hold up to 20 lbs (9 kg), on the extra small and small models with10 lbs (4.5 kg) in each pocket and over 30 lbs (14 kg) on the medium and larger sizes with15 lbs (7 kg) in each pocket. In addition, two rear non-releasable weight trim pockets help increase stability in the water.
The back support is rigid for proper cylinder stability, but is fully padded for comfort. The elastic waistband/cummerbund harness assembly is an independent suspension system that allows the cylinder and the diver to keep proper stability and avoid cylinder shifting on the back, while allowing the BCD's air cell to fully inflate away from the diver not causing restriction or crushing effect as with non-ergonomic designs. Adjustable sternum straps along with both torso adjustment straps are equipped with quick-release buckles.
The BCD has three over-pressure relief/dump valves with two located on the left and right shoulders and a third lower valve on the rear right of the air cell. All three can be manually dumped two with pull cords and the other with the power inflator mechanism. There are four stainless steel D-rings with two on the shoulder straps, two on the bottom of the BCD and two snap hook rings on the pocket lobes for attachment of instruments and accessories. The jacket also comes equipped with a ridged carry handle.
