Both my wife and I were very satisfied with the snorkel backpack we purchased. We went on a two week Caribbean cruise this past winter and it was exactly what we wanted. We had plenty of room for all our gear as well as other goods we wanted to take ashore with us. While everybody else was struggling with there gear, we had an easy time of it and believe me, we had both of them packed to the max. The product is built well and I would highly recommend it to both the avid diver as well as the recreational diver like us.

    Well done guys

A decent snorkeling bag for the price, BUT certainly not a snorkeling "backpack"! It has only one shoulder strap. This strap is centered in the middle, resulting in not very well balanced carrying, neither when carrying on one shoulder nor crossed around the neck (two D-rings at the bottom corners and a snap on the strap would have solved the issue… well, or actually adding a second strap…). Also, the strap is not padded (which I actually kind of like, because of weight issues). Carrying the bag for short distances is not a problem, but I was looking for an actual backpack comfortable enough for longer hikes and/or difficult terrain. So, I was pretty disappointed at first. However, there is a quick fix to the problem: A strap (or belt) around the waist plus the lower part of the bag stabilizes it quite well; that way I can also comfortably carry two of these bags (for gf and myself) with one on each shoulder. So, while "backpack" is a bit of false advertising, in the end, I was still happy with the buy.
Other than that: The construction overall seems to be a very good compromise between light weight and sturdy (time will tell about the latter, as the emphasis is certainly on the former). The bag should hold fins up to ~27 inch long. It comfortably holds my pair of regular size Aeris Mako fins (24 in) with 3 mm ankle booties in their foot pockets. There seems to be just enough room for an additional regular sized towel (not for a large beach towel), a book (again, not oversized), your mask/snorkel, and maybe a small/medium water bottle (and these items would need to be distributed between the fin compartment and the smaller additional compartment; note that both compartments include mesh for drying, and that there is no "dry compartment"). This is probably all the weight you would want to carry in this light bag anyway. Size and weight seem ideal for my needs of a snorkeling bag (if I need to carry more stuff than indicated above, I use a larger mesh backpack for scuba gear).

Comments about Blue Reef Snorkel Backpack Bag:

I have been using it to carry snorkel gear to and from swimming pool. Quite compact and no one has guessed what i am carrying in it yet... Getting ready for a 5 day excursion in the Palawan islands. I think it will keep me well organized with all the gear I use on the boat ... not mixed up with others'. well ventilated, so I can keep all wet stuff in this bag not worrying about getting other dry bag content wet. Nice looking. I like carrying it upside down.

Comments about Blue Reef Snorkel Backpack Bag:

Found this product most helpful in carrying gear to and from snorkeling area. Gear fits nicely in bag and it is comfortable to carry by hand or straped to back or hung over shoulder. Very satisfied with this product.

Comments about Blue Reef Snorkel Backpack Bag:

Although not my first choice, I cant complain with the quality and usability. Like other reviews on this pack, It is large enough to hold your fins, mask, snorkel, and booties. A towel can also be packed in if you are able to pack your equipment properly, though its a tight fit. Other than that, it will meet all your needs and then some. The pocket in the front is large enough I can throw my snorkel in there along with some defog, keys etc. I do wish it would have a waterproof pocket or an internal zip pocket for a wallet, keys and that that would be safer and out of view. Great pack for the price though, definitely worth consideration.
