Great Knife to use as a backup and attachment to your BC. Diving in the dark NW and cold waters you never know what you'll bump into and this knife can cut, help saw it and when careful used as a tool. It's clasp allows you to get it with gloves on and the low price means no need to worry if it gets dropped overboard and doesn't need excessive cleaning.

The knife will rust a bit, if not rinsed after every dive -- which was not possible at the resort & liveaboard on our last trip. I coated the knives with silicon grease; they got a minimal rinsing daily (after 4 - 5 dives). After two weeks, both knives (my wife's and mine) had some rust, but were still sharp and very functional.

I like the more secure catch/release.

I purchased this as a backup BC knife but with it comfortable grip, easy attachment straps and natural feel in the hand with exceptional blade features, I reach for this before I reach for the leg knife. Only thing missing is a metal tank tapper on the bottom
