I purchased this item in preparation for my annual trip to Cozumel. This is a very important item to use on any dive especially all the drift dives of Coz.
After the first dive, It filled up with water. This repeated itself on all dives thereafter. I had to resort to my smaller safety sausage.
DO NOT BUT THIS ITEM!!!!!!!!

This is a great signal that I use all the time as a divemaster when guiding my groups on drift dives. This signal can be inflated at depth with a regulator or octopus, and it WILL fully inflate and WILL NOT pull you to the surface. With that said...properly launching a signal does take a bit of practice so I can see why some reviewers stated the contrary.

This is a great basic SMB. The 6' length makes it very visible and rolled up it is not too bulky at all! The dump valve works well as well as the manual inflation system. I have not tried inflating it via the octo although you can do this. Clips away neatly with the included clip.

It takes quite a few breaths to inflate manually but that is typical of a 6' tube. Construction is solid.

I should have got a 3" one, this 6"one is difficult to inflate. You rely have to hold it down to inflate it fully, or it will pull you to the surface. Goes fast. Does not stand up if its not fully inflated.
