Shopper Can this item be used to check the pressure of a single tank? (i.e. no second tank available / dual role, pressure checker and transfer hose)
DON F No it cannot unless you can find a reliable DIN method to block the other end that handles the full tank pressure of 3,000+ or install an oxygen cleaned shut off valve between the gauge and the transfer hose. Also it would be quite cumbersome with the stiff hose hanging our there. Unless you are technically proficient and have training handling other than regular air (oxygen enriched or high oxygen content) it would be more cost effective to just buy the same setup from Leisure Pro with the Din fitting and gauge only. That is what I did. It is much easier to use and also easier to transport.
MICHAEL E yes,but only if you remove the guage from the hose and plug the open end,or attach the other end to a din tank and leave the tank valve closed.i
have one of these, and found it more convient to buy a dedicated tank pressure guage and a din to yoke adapter so you can check any tank.hope this helps, mike.
Mick O This Tank to Tank Equalizer can be used to check the pressure of a single tank, but needs to be connected to two tanks to hold pressure against the gauge. Once connected to two tanks, you would open the valve on the tank you want to check, and leave the other closed... unless you want the pressure to equalize and be the same in both tanks.
HENRY M Hellow felow diver. Why not use your gauge off your regulator? This is easier. I use my Tank to Tank Equallizer for what it is ment for. For a tank to tank Equalizer.
And NO, I have not used it for checking the pressurd on one tank. Get the Leisurepro Pressure gauge for that. It is smaller and easier to handle. Use the Pressure Checker for your tank. In my 2007 Catalogue it is on page 133 as (AQUAND) for a DIN Tank it is (AQUTPCC).
I hope this helps.

DANIEL M No. It can be used to check a single tank's pressure but only if there is a second tank available for the other end of the hose.
JAMES P You would need a DIN cap for the other end of the hose. Since it would be exposed to pressure, I would suggest a steel one.
MICHAEL R It can be used to check tank pressure on any tank. Make sure you have the correct adapter for your tank. DIN or YOKE ? However,if all your looking for is a pressure gauge, why not buy just that ?
mike h Yes it can....attach the DIN fitting to your tank (gauge side)...close both bleeder valves.... open the tank valve...take your reading....close the tank valve ....and then purge via the bleed valve. The only thing is the 5 foot hose might be a little cumbersome at times since its quite stiff.
CHRIS K This a great pressure balancer/transfer whip. Unfortunately there is no way to isolate the pressure gauge without having it hooked up to a second tank.
JOSEPH R You can check the pressure of a tank but you need to have both ends hooked up to tanks. That is the only way to keep the air from comming out the other end but I haven't looked for something because I usually always have another tank around to put on the other end. You might be able to find some kind of plug.
KENNETH H Sure just close bleeder valve on other side of gauge open bleeder on tank side , check pressure ,close tank valve and then open bleeder valve on the other side of gauge to relieve pressure and remove. sounds like many steps but its simple after the first time. just remember if the din fitting feels stuck....you have not bled off the pressure. I mostly use mine to top off bail out and small pony bottles. hope this helps, Ken H
TERRY W I need to apologies for my previous reply. I have not used it in this fashion and I don't believe it is possible.
TERRY W Yes it can, just shut off the DIN connector on the other end and attach the single tank
CHARLES T. K Not really you would be better off using your octopus or do like i did and wait for leisure pro to have tank checkers on sale tk
JOSEPH G No, you will need to get an extra valve and or tank screw it to the opposite end (valve off position) can probly get used valve on ebay cheep
RICHARD H No, you need two tanks. With two tanks hooked up you can check the pressure in each independently.
OLEG T No, it can't. Hint: if you have an old valve you can use it without tank.
JIM F No, it will not work to check pressure on a single tank. DIN cap for regulator has no O-ring and will not hold pressure if used to cap end of hose not attached to tank.
Jim
ROBERT U No!
There is no shut off on the hose itself, so you have to connect it to two tanks and leave the one you don't want to check shut off at the tank valve.
MICHAEL K No, a means of plugging the open end is required to obtain a pressure reading.
RANDY B No. A single tank cannot be checked with this transfer hose. There would have to be a tank valve attached at both ends of the transfer hose in order to chech pressure of a single tank.
