I use this Lanyard to connect the brass clip to my bcd, d ring sometimes I add an xtra clip depending on the size and weight of the camera I am using, and on the key ring side if needed for a larger housing I add a larger key ring and put it around the arm of the camara housing.....this is the best lanyard I have ever used....
and it helps you from losing/dropping your camara in rough diving (and yes you still have to hold your camera especially if it's a large one...)

Heavy metal hook is weighty, drags camera. But you won't lose aything.

I used the lanyard on a recent trip to Roatan to tether my GoPro camera. The SS ring does not fit on the camera case foot, however, the black lace/clip fits around the camera "foot" really nicely and securely. Was simple to pop the clip for arms length shots and reclip to put the camera out of the way. Saw a few setups, I like this one best.

These lanyards are great for attaching lights, cameras, etc. to your BCD.
