I used the lanyard on a recent trip to Roatan to tether my GoPro camera. The SS ring does not fit on the camera case foot, however, the black lace/clip fits around the camera "foot" really nicely and securely. Was simple to pop the clip for arms length shots and reclip to put the camera out of the way. Saw a few setups, I like this one best.

These lanyards are great for attaching lights, cameras, etc. to your BCD.

This is a great clip to have if you are looking to secure something like a small point and shoot camera, or a larger dive light for a night or wreck dive. You can attach one end to your BCD and to the accessory easily, so that even if you drop the light or camera it really can't go too far and get lost. This is especially good on wall dives where you can't go after whatever might have been dropped without potentially diving beyond your limits. I just worry about the clip mechanism rusting in salt water. I have used similar products with what I feel are better clips.
