Great Reel at a great price. I did remove 1/3 of the line on one reel and found it worked better that way. Don't worry there is plenty of line for a shark tooth hunt. I bought one for me and one for son. I really like the thumb lock. Much easier that other models I've looked at. I'll buy again if I ever wear this one out.

Line tangles easy. This could be a good product with some work. The line tangled and I had to wait until I got home to get it untangled. The sides are not high enough and the spool spins to easy. Needs higher sides or less line and a way to control the speed of the spool. Would also reccomend a knob instead of a screw head so the spool can be removed more easly if the line does tangle.

Comments about Aqua Ratchet Dive Reel, Yellow:
Unfortunately, I bought this reel for my wreck diving excursions. However, right away it was obvious the sides of the line casing are not high enough. This leads to bird nesting like no tomorrow. It also has a very small and flimsy spring which is used to retract the locking arm. However, if you hit the water just right, you'll bend this spring and it will stop retracting. All in all, the price should clue you into the quality of the item. Now to buy a _real_ reel.

About Me Professional
Great concept and easy to use, however not well made. Mine fell apart during a wreck dive (reel broke off while reeling), broke only after a few uses. Poor materials/cheap plastic. Not recommended for use in technical applications (wreck or cave diving). Okay for use during S&R or deploying SMB.
Great Product!

does the job. easy to use. the gadget ratchet wheel thing is cool. easy to feed line out, easy to reel back in. I am not to keen on the construction but what can I expect? it is three times cheaper than the legit reels out. i can't really complain.
