The Hitch cover is over all made from plastic, so if you backup and hit anything solid, it will break. Not very happy with the product at all.

This is just the best add-on for a 2" hitch I have found; the best part is that it comes on when you hit the brakes. I even bought a 'hitch lock' just to protect my light.

As stated above, the emblem part of the cover comes off too easily. I lost mine in a car wash. I had mega-problems ordering a new replacement lens from the manufacturer, though they finally did ship me one. I modified it by installing a small screw on each side. Now it stays put!

I've had mine for 2 years. It broke when I was hit in a parking lot. But the housing is somewhat flexible and has taken a few hits before this last fatal one. I've been happy with it and it sticks out. It only fits the large hitch, I have a 3/4" hitch and did a couple of modification to make it work with mine, but I would not recommend it for a 3/4" htich. Also it may not be legal in some states because it's lighted, so check with you motor vehicle codes. I'll buy another one, but here.

Lights when tail lights on, flashes when turn signal on and brightens when brakes applied.
