Holly B I am a diabetic and am thinking of using this for an insulin pump. just to keep it dry if it pours while walking around on vacation in Florida. Do you think it will work?
JAMILA S It completely depends on the dimensions of the pump. This bag expects the contents to be fairly flat. Honestly there are better bags for the purchase that don't include the headphone connector.
GERARD C I would think so if your concern is just keeping it dry while walking and protecting it from rain. I use my waterproof mp3 pouch while swimming I swim fir an hour or more and the iPod stays completely dry while submerged in water for the hour.
I do also use as an added precaution in most cases an additional waterproof pouch I bought at sports authority intended to keep stuff dry while camping.
There have been occasions when I did not use the secondary pouch and just used the mp3 waterproof pouch and I have never gotten the iPod wet.
Make sure the clasp is closed securely and you shouldn't have a problem.
They also tell you to test it first which I did by submerging it in a sink with a piece of cardboard or plastic inside to test for dryness.
It works great.
FERNANDO Q Hello Holly,
I purchased this item to use in the ocean while riding a jetski. It has kept my ipod dry with no issues. I have fallen multiple times off the jetski and been completely sumerged with it for extended periods with no issues. I would think that your insulin pump will be safe. Keep in mind i can only talk from experience and can't guarantee your pumps safety...
I do not know how your pump works but I do not think it can be operated while in the bag, if that is the case, make sure the bag is completely dry before you take your pump out...but of course you knew that.
I hope that was helpful.
Have a good time in florida!
RONALD P S i think that is a great idea!
RICHARD V There is no doubt that this container will provide waterproof housing for anything that will fit, however, there are other "Drypak" products that may better serve your needs. The reason I say this is because the cord sticking out of this pack is actually a mini RCA jack that is formed into the pack and is not removable. There are other bags that are simply waterproof bags that do not have this "jack". This is a fantastic product for use with an Ipod or other product that has a Mini RCA out. I highly recommend it for that us. I have other DryPak containers that are also fantastic options if the RCA plug is not required.
Holly B Thank you so much, I didn't realize that the jack did not come out.
RICHARD V I assumed you may not have been aware of that. I don't know if Leisure Pro carries DryPak, but this product comes in many differt configurations by the same manufacturer, just double check the size you need. You definately can't go wrong buying from Leisure Pro. I have used them as a vendor for numerous transactions and they are great! Good Luck.....DIVE DEEP! Richard
