Blake E Is the back of this bag rigid from top to bottom? I want to make sure it will fit in my suitcase as I am not going to check my gear in a mesh bag while flying. It's hard to tell from the picture, but I'm hoping it will roll up a little bit on the top half (furthest from the wheels.)
DAVID W The back of the bag IS rigid from top to bottom. I don't think there would be any way to fit it in a suitcase. The bag that I bought came with a solid fabric cover that attaches over the mesh portion with velcro to keep your gear covered. I've never checked it through airline baggage, but I have let the baggage crew on a cruise ship handle it without the cover falling off.
ELIZABETH L I have a couple Akona,s but the only roller one I have would not fit in another suitcase at all--it is full-blown luggage that you have to check--stiff, huge, not foldable.
There is a straight mesh akona with no wheels that does fit in big luggage that is checked. But it would take a big bag.
KENNETH D I did not actually get this one, I have another model. but have seen this on the boat, it is not rigid,
