Questions about this item:
Shopper Is it possible to replace this puck with the console version of the XR-1? I want nitrox and the XR-1 console I have is air only.
JEFF T they also have a version of this comp. with nitrox because I have both of the comp.
Frank L Yes, just remove this from the wrist boot, and pop it into the console.
STEFAN S Yes. I did exactly what you want to do.
WILLIAM B I have the XR1 NX which I move between my triple gauge combo and wrist band depending on my mood. It easily adjusts between air and Nitrox. I have been very happy with it. Not sure if that answers your question.
GUSTAVO S Yes, it should be possible. I remove my XR1 Nx1 from my console and move it to a wrist holder when traveling. It is quite simple to remove. Hope that answers your question.
STEVE G Yes, the Aeris "puk" computers ( air and air/nitrox) are identical in size and thus are interchangible in the boots.
Shopper Can you change to metres rather than ft?
ARKADIY S Yes, it is possible
Shopper Does this computer use the same algorithm as the Atmos AI? Considering it as a backup. Thanks!
Ben T Yes they are both, Modified Haldanean / DSAT (Diving Science and Technology) Database
Shopper is it ar/nitrux?
Frank L It is Nitrox capable.
COREY B Can this Aeris be removed from the wrist boot? I would like to use it occassionally in an older Oceanic console, which housed a Oceanic Veo 200 "puck". Is this the same size?
Frank L Yes, it can be removed. It should fit, they are similar in size.
Andreas M screen can light up to view at night?
Frank L This does not have backlighting.
Shopper Does this computer have a backlight?
Michael C No it is not backlit
Shopper Does this computer interphase with a laptop and print dive log entries?
ACCOUNTS P No it does not interface with a PC. The next model up, the XR2, has that capability.
KEVIN D I am not sure but I do not think that mine has a USB port. I think you would no longer have water tight integrety.
DONALD R No but this is part of what makes it tougher and more relaible than other dive computers.
Shopper Does this computer have an alarm sound if the diver ascends too quickly?
LeisurePro S The XR-1 does not have audible alarms. The ascent rate is shown as a bar graph on the side. There are green, yellow, and red marking around the outside of the computer. If you ascend too fast, bars will flash in the yellow or red zones.
Shopper Can this computer calculate decompression stops?
LeisurePro S Yes, the XR-1 can calculate decompression stops.
Shopper Does this computer operate in metric too?
LeisurePro S Yes, units are set by the user.
Shopper Does Aeris XR1 have pc connection?
LeisurePro S No, the Aeris XR-1 is not PC downloadable.
Shopper Does the Aeris XR 1 NX Dive computer also track surface intervals?
LeisurePro S Yes, records surface intervals.
Shopper What is the dimensions of the Aeris XR1 NX Dive computer in both the flat and circular positions? The reason is I am looking into buying a pelican case and I need to know the clearances. Thank you for your time.

Whats in the box:Computer, Wrist Boot, Owner's Manual, Digital Online Class The XR-1 Nx is as versatile underwater as it is topside. Upon starting your dive, the XR 1 NX will simply display your current depth and how long you can stay there (Dive Time Remaining). While many divers have asked for such simplicity and ease of use, you know that with all the XR-1 Nx's features, there must be more and there is. Simply press the button to see more information. Is this information important to you on a full time basis? Leave it there. Just want to check it and then move on to another display? You can do that too. It's up to you and your new XR-1 Nx. Variable ascent rate indicator will keep you safe upon ascent and slow you down progressively as you head to the surface. Safety stop timer will give you the ability to include the all important 15' (5 meters) safety stop which is recommended by all instructional agencies. AERIS Dive Computers are designed with color-coded bar graphs; gray, yellow and red. These graphs monitor nitrogen accumulation and your personal ascent rate. Pixels buildup in each of these color-coded areas to give you a quick, easy reference of these parameters. Proper monitoring of these graphs allows you to select the personal degree of conservatism you wish to build into each dive, putting you in control of your margin of safety. The XR-1 Nx acts simply as an 'Air' computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road. Computer will let you dive nitrox from 21 to 50%. The XR-1 Nx features a diver replaceable CR2450 battery. This can be a real trip-saver on board a live-aboard boat! Should you be in a tight spot between dives, the "hot-swap" feature allows you to change batteries between dives while maintaining all calculations. Other features of the computer are a calendar and clock, 330' (100 meter) operating depth, variable ascent rate, push button or water activation, altitude adjustable, wait to fly time, 12 dive on-unit log capacity, pre-dive plan sequence, dive planner and much more. The computer comes with Aeris 30 day satisfaction guarantee and a 24 month limited warranty.
