Questions about this item:
Dayna F I've tried on the aeris ex100 does anyone know if that's the male version of this bc? I liked it very much but would prefer a female bc and can not find this in stores to try on. I am female 5'4 weighing 118 lbs, would a small be sufficient size? Thanks
ANGELINA A It's small enough for a woman. I recently purchased this one in XS but have not had the luxury to wear it in the ocean yet. I'm 5'2 and around 110-106 lbs so pretty small and nothing "one size fits all" will fit me. I've tried it on right out of the box and must say the XS fits me very well. I'm not too worried even if I have to add the weights, cylinder and water.
DOUGLAS C i purchased the ex 300 small size for my sister who weights about 135 lbs, 5 ft 2. it seems to fit her ok, and she is going to try it out next week in phuket and maldive. so i will suggest you to seriously consider the xl size
DANIEL C I bought my girlfriend the ex300 and I have the ex100. I am very happy with mine and she loves hers. I believe the 100 is the male version of the 300. I compared the both and couldn't find other differences. She is new to diving and now has about 35 dives using this BC. She is 5'3" and about 120 lbs with slightly broad shoulders. She has a size Small
SYDNEY Y I have the Aeris EX 300 Women's BCD (bought it from Leisure Pro). I am 5'7" and weigh 130#. The small fits fine. It is a women's 6-8. You can adjust it. However, I have noticed that the distance from the underarm to the shoulder strap is a little long, even with the shoulder strap adjusted all the way down, so as you are shorter, you might want to try an extra small, if one is available.
DANIEL C Dayna,
I'm not sure if this is the same as the ex100 but my wife dives with the ex300 and loves it. She is 5'2 and approximately 108 lbs and the extra small fits her perfectly. Hopefully this helps
Dayna F Thanks. Are you happy with this bc? I just starting diving and want to make sure I'm getting a good product not just a good price
CRYSTAL H Not sure about the male version. I am 5' 7" and 130. I have an extra small in this which fits me fine. You would probably need an xs as well.
Dayna F Thanks. Are u happy with this bc? I just started diving and want to make sure I'm getting a good product not just a good price.
CRYSTAL H Yes, I am fairly new to diving as well and am very happy with this product.
Shopper I want to get one for my wife who is 5.8' - 145 Lbs. According to the sizing chart that one posted she should go with Medium. is this correct? or should I go with the Med-Large for her? Thanjs
AMANDA S Hi there. This has been an interesting BC to get used to, but I think I like it!
By the dimensions you gave, your wife seems like she is likely a narrow build for her height. I am in the top of the height/weight range for the extra-small, and it is SNUG, but comfortable in the water. For someone with a heavier build, I would say to size up, but your wife can probably wear the medium without a problem. It will feel too tight out of the water, but it situates ok once you get in. It IS a nice fit after diving unisex BCs.
This BC also somewhat forcefully holds you in a diving position. By that, I mean it balances horizontal when you use the integrated weight pockets. It just does it to such a strong degree that I find I have difficulty moving to vertical when I want to. I have figured out how to maneuver this with it, but it's still kind of a pain. I will probably just buy a separate weight belt before I dive again.
Happy diving!
Max B Thanks guys... now the problem is that Leisurepro ran out of Medium.
JAMES W Medium. My daughter is same size and we bought medium.
ROBERT S My Wife is 5'9" and 150lbs. She normally is a med-lg. I got her that size and had to exchange it for the Medium. The Medium fit perfect, so I would recommend she try the medium.
Good luck
CHRISTINE M I would go with the Medium, definitely. I have the M/L and am looking at having to go down to the Medium as I've lost some weight.
DESDA S Im 5ft3 and 135lb and i bought a small. I also dive in a 7mm wetsuit and it fits perfect!
SUSAN S I am 5'1, 110 # and bought the XS. it fits. The cumberbund and shoulder straps can be adjusted to help with sizing. It's a decent travel BCD for the price.
DAVID E I would go with the medium. Wife is 5-7 and 140 and she loves the BC but thought the small was a little loose on her. It worked fine for her during our Cosumel trip.
WILLIAM C My girlfriend is 5'-5" - 125 and it fits her well. I think Med will work for you but can't guarantee.
Good luck!
JAMES L My wife is 5' 11" ~140 lbs, and it fits her perfectly. She likes the fit. (she has done a dive with it yet)
Shopper I am 5"2- 150 lbs...what size should I get..is this ideal for travel?
DAVID M I bought a medium size for my wife who is about your size and it fits well. It is OK for travel. It is not as light as some travel BCs but has more features like pockets etc. We will be travelling with it.
LISA B I am new to diving and this is my first BCD. I have used rental, and borrowed one until I found this one. I love it. I am 5"2' and weigh 175. I bought a medium and it fits well. It was a little snug until I figured out how to adjust everything. I wear a 3/2 wetsuit with it. It fits well in my carring case with all my other gear. I would recommend this.
TODD R I am 5'4" and 125 lbs, size small fits me with plenty of room. I think medium would fit you best. It is light weight and should travel well. I am pleased with its performance and styling.
TRENA G I'm 5'5 120lbs and I wear a small in shirts. I got an xsmall it fits great. It fits my body shape and I still have to pull the straps in to make it tight enough. It is a little snug getting into it but I like it cause I want my vest to fit tight when I put my gear on. It is very light and I can tuck it into a duffle bag when I travel. I'm very pleased with my purchase and got a good price on it. Hope this helps.
AMANDA S Hello,
I have not actually gotten to dive with this BC yet unfortunately. I am 5'0 and weigh 100 lbs and I got the x-small, which is surprisingly snug on me. X-small unisex BCs run slightly large on me, so take that into consideration when comparing it against whatever you've been diving on previously. You might be on the line between a small and medium, and being short, you'll have the issue of getting something a little too big and losing the ability to bend your leg up at the hip because it's too long. By reading the size charts, it looks like (to me - am I reading it wrong?) the small and medium are the same length, so if you are busty and worried about the tightness, I would probably recommend the medium.
When I bought this, I read a review that said this BC was "really heavy" and not good for travel. While I have not actually flown anywhere with it yet, I find it to be about as light as I can realistically expect it to be, and I actually was able to fit it with ALL the rest of my dive gear in a large REI hiking bag. I think it will probably travel pretty well when I have time.
Hope that's useful!
DESDA S I'm 5'3 130lb and I got a small. I LOVE it. It is great for travel.
Shopper How much does this BC actually weigh (size S)?
MARLENE K My scale only reads to the nearest pound. My BC is size medium, and it weighs 7 pounds.
PASCAL R I did not get a chance to weigh it. It is on the heavier side of typical rec BCs. Definitely not as light as a "soft pack" travel BC. However, a very solid/well constructed product with all the options one may need. Unless you use it mostly for travel and travel a lot, I see no reason to be worried about the weight. This is an excellent overall buy.
CHARLES C good comfortable bc meet my expectations
GUSTAVO M It weight about 5 to 6 pounds
Paige B A question about sizing. I read conflicting reviews on whether it runs a bit small or large. I'm 5'7" 135lbs, larger up top with a small waist. Small or medium?
CHARLES C fits how I expected
JOE G Small should be fine. Straps can be loosened for the top & the largest part of the BC is below the breast. I am 5'2" & 148 lbs & it works very well. I love it. Feels lots better than my old BC. Teri
ROBERT R Small worked great for my wife, even i can fit to it and im 5;10 ans 185 lbs hope it works for u it is great bcs
PEG G I got a small and in my opinion, it is true to fit. since you are tall, I am only 5', I would go with a medium. I figured if I was not happy with it I could return it. I love it.
Donald P Looking at this for my daughter, but having an issue deciding between an MD or a ML. She is a OK with the height 5'4", a bit over the weight (165), and at max chest size (40") for the MD. She currently is using a small BC, but it is tight. Suggestions?
TODD R I think the MD would fit her. My wife has a small, she is in the middle range for the product measurements, and has plenty of room. Seems the BCD runs a little big. My only concern would be if your daughter is still growing, you might be better off with the ML. By the way, this is a very good quality BCD. My wife has no complaints, really likes it.
AMANDA S Hi Donald,
Based on the fact that your daughter is using a small BC currently, I want to say she should be able to use the medium in this one. The fit is a little smaller than an equivalent size unisex BC, so if the current small she has is unisex, you'll need a medium to get a SLIGHTLY bigger fit, but not much - which I think is exactly what you want. The problem you might run into if you go to a large, with her being only 5'4" is that the side pockets will sit too low and block her ability to pull her leg up at the hip, which is a real pain when trying to get fins on and off (been there!). Never fear with Leisure Pro though - they're great about swapping out for you if you're not happy with the size you order. Hope that helps!
LESA W Hi donald I own this bcd and i would suggest going with the MD on it for her i normaly wear a medium and had to get it in extra small they have a good mulit size ability so i think that at 165 she will do fine with the MD
NADIA T The EX 300 has adjustable waist belt. Inside the vest at the support panel the waist belt is held in with velcro and can be adjusted several inches either way to make it shorter or longer. The MD should fit fine with her weight.
MARIE B I have a chest of 40" and the ML Aeris EX300 is perfect. It has an adjustable waist strap that allows for a perfect fit.
IDEAS I medium is fine, I've tried the BC on and it fits me ok, and I'm a man, 5'8" and 180 lbs, so it should fit her without problem.
BARRY C I got my daughter a small and should have gotten an extra small. She is 5'5" and weighs about 102lbs. The small fits height-wise but is loose behind the arms. Hopefully she'll grow into it.
PAULA Z I am 5'3 and 190, I have the ML BC after using it about 30 times or so it fits a bit loose in the chest. It is fine in the waist.
Shopper How much does the bcd weight?
NORA S The BC weighs 7.6lbs. I really like it. I find it is light.
Frank L For a medium, it is about 7 lbs.
Shopper I have a qeustion about the sizing chart because it won't come up?
Frank L Please call us directly for any sizing questions.

KRISTINA P I ordered the medium which is women's size 8-10. I am 5'8'' and about 160 lbs. It fits me very well. I hope this helps you...
JULIA K what is your question?
CHRISTOPHER B I bought an XS and my aeries EX300 fits me perfectly. Base it on your true size, if you buy a tshirt and it fits close to your skin then that's the size your BCD should be for this brand.
LESA W Ok id be glad to help. By the way this is an awesome bcd i weigh about 115 and got mine in an extra small and it fits great. I was really amazed at the cofort of this its just as good as the aqua lung i did my training in what is ur exact question. Ill leave my cell phone number and u can call me so u can get ur answer quickly. My number is 501-270-0612
JOSEPH B S My wife is 6' 2". 200 pounds. She loves the m/l size. This bc is loaded with features that I wish my bc had. Go to aeris' website for more info...
