Questions about this item:
Fabio K Has DVT?
Jon S Yes, the Aeris AT 400 ION regulator has DVT
RALPH G Yes, it is listed as Aeris AT 400 ION DVT regulator.
SKU# AERAT4IRBL
CLAY H I assume you mean DVT (Dry Valve Technology), designed to keep moisture and contaminants out of the first stage, even if you forget to put the dust cap on.
Yes it does.
I also want to mention that the swivel 2nd stage means that you can't simply replace the hose with a standard regulator hose. It has to be replaced with a special swivel hose with a built-in (custom) 2nd stage swivel. I was not aware of this and DO NOT LIKE IT.
Why don't I like it? I assume it is: 1) more prone to failure than a standard 2nd stage hose and 2) costs more than a standard 2nd stage hose.
What they should have done was add a swivel fitting between a standard hose and a standard 2nd stage fitting.
FRANCES Z The regulator has DVT.
NATHANIEL P Yes, this uses the DVT feature.
James J Yes it has DVT, plus the protective rubber cap. My daughter loves this unit. The second stage is slightly smaller than most and the swivel head/hose helps with movent and lessoned strain on the jaw.
BRIAN M Yes has DVT but google for problems. Mine started freeflowing at 11 months and only 10 dives. Freeflows even in your mouth and with knobs in any configuration. Have to send mine back to aeris but they want to do 1 year service instead of warranty so extra $85 for that.
LISA R Yes it does love the regulator once one understands the position of the lever
L W Is the 1st and 2nd stage the same as Oceanic EOS FDX10 DVT Regulator? Both first stage are overbalanced diaphragm w/DVT. Second stage are both pneumatically balanced. I guess the question is not whether they are exactly the same, since by looking at it, they are not. But whether they are equivalent of each other since both brands are part of the same company?
Jon S I'm not familiar with the Oceanic product nor do I know if Oceanic and Aeris is related. I can say the Aeris AT 400 ION is a fine regulator that has functioned superbly with breathing resistance that is practically non-existent.
CARL M L W
The Aeris AT 400 is not the same as the EOS. The Aeris is a very strong regulator and I have used it just about everyday since my purchase with no problems.
It has been very reliable, and breathes great. No problems with free flow either, I highly recommend.
Carl Martin
LISA R Not sure but it is a great regulator both my husband and I use them
PATRICK G Cannot answer I am not familiar with oceanic reg
Lenin M Is it din or yoke?
LORI D Yoke and it's a great reg for the price, I am very happy with it.
James J It is a yoke type 1st stage.
ADRIAN D Yoke Setup. Breathes nice, my only complaint is the rubber swivel guard doesn't stay put.
RICHARD K Yoke
I use it ti repair pools & diving in the keys one week, it performs well.
SEAN P Yolk, havent seen a din valve for pleasure diving in years.
JOHN R The aeris AT 400 is a yolk type connection.
CLAY H Yoke, don't know if they have a din version available.
CARL M The regulator is yoke.
MILOSZ STASIK / T It's yoke. Great reg by the way.
BRIAN D Yolk. However, you can have it converted to DIN by a certified Aeris dealer.
Shopper Can i put a QD on it ?
CEYLON L What is a QD. I have the bcd low pressure hose a nd a pressure transmitter on mine. Lots of ports for its size. Not the lightest of units, but realy rugged. The second stage is real sensitive till you learn how to use it. I fill a float tube at the end of every dive for my group and the boat captain. It's a good reg for the money.
JOHN R No, the swivel connection on the second stage is part of the hose and contains a non-standard hose thread. This would prevent the use of any standard low pressure hose fittings such as quick disconnects.
PATRICK G Unfortunately with the swivel connection you cannot attach a quick disconnect sorry
THOMAS L I have a quick disconnect computer module on mine.
RIOBIN D If by QD you mean Quick Disconnect - I have not used this regulator with a quick disconnect.
I have used this regulator for about three years, it's a great breathing and reliable regulator.
I subscribe to the protocol of not modifying equipment that has been engineered for performance such as a regulator - so I would hesitate to modify the connection.
Marilyn S Yes. You'd need the XS Scuba Second Stage Quick Disconnect SKU: XSSSSQD and if you have multiple 2nd stages the XS Scuba Second Stage Hose QD - Male Only SKU: XSSSQDM for each additional one.
THOMAS K You should be able to it has all the ports to do anything that's needed. The hose is also standard on the threads
LISA R What is that acronym

Whats in the box:1st Stage, 2nd Stage, LP Hose, Owners Manual The pneumatically balanced demand valve along with a highly responsive design allows this regulator to provide a high volume of airflow with even the slightest inhalation effort, making it seem nearly effortless to breathe at any depth. All in a second stage barely wider than the mouthpiece. The ION means business as it comes equipped for any type of dive conditions, cold or warm. The first stage has two HP and 4 LP ports, weighs 29 oz (822 g). The all chrome plated marine brass first stage regulator is an over balanced diaphragm design which is environmentally sealed. The diaphragm membrane transmits the pressure changes to the internal mechanism eliminating the need for the surrounding water to enter the intricate mechanism. The benefit of this type of first stage design is that none of the internal parts are exposed to contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids. These environmental contaminants cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance. The ION is AERIS' smallest and most streamlined second stage ever with an outer ring diameter of only 2.3" (5.8 cm) and 5.4 oz (153 g) weight. The ION's second stage is made from an ABS/Polycarbonate composite blend of materials making the ION both extremely rugged and lightweight, reducing jaw fatigue on extended dives. The extremely lightweight cover ring is machined from a solid piece of aircraft aluminum, and then hard anodized to prevent corrosion. Following the rules of the sea, or should we say the rules of the C: Compact - Comfortable - Customizable; the ION is a diver's dream. The ION is classified as being suitable for use with nitrox breathing gas mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen by volume without the need for special preparation, cleaning or component parts. Second stage comes with a patented orthodontic mouthpiece with high density bite tabs, Venturi control switch and diver adjustable inhalation. Aeris regulators come with a 24 month limited warranty. Due to MFG restrictions, this can be sold to the USA and Caribbean only.
