Shopper Hi, How much does the Deluxe setup weigh?
ROBERT G According to my scale 2.6 kg
RAYMOND H It's under 5-pounds without the rip cord, and about 5.5 with the rip-cord installed. That is the dry weight. I read where some people carry it in their carry-on bag. I didn't. I just put it in the bottom of my check bag. I carry-on my Regs., and my camera. I took mine to the tropics, and used it hard for three (3) weeks. It dried out pretty fast. It had a little left over water in the air blatter, and it took a little effort to get it out. Not bad. I added a couple of stainless rings to mine, because there's no other way to attach your Octo or spg. The rings are about $2.00 on line, or $10.00 in the tourist dive shops. I should have bought them before I went on vacation. So, the d-rings add a litle weight, but not much. I'm always concerned about check-bag weight, so I try to make sure my gear is dry before I fly. It's pretty compact, and lite. It still looks new after 30 dives, and I'm happy I bought it. It took 3 or 4 dives before I fine tuned the amount of weight I needed, and I became comfortable with gearing up with this BCD. If something ever happens to this one, I would buy the exact same one again. HOWEVER, it was very rough on my wet suite. Just rubbed it harshly, and now my weit suite has serious wear. But still a cool BCD. Buy it, you won't be sorry.
