d l Is the compass removable? Like if I'm being paranoid about TSA's no liquid requirements?
KATHRYN S Tusa refers to the compass as a "compass module" which implies it can be swapped. I fiddled with it a little and it did not come out easily--I gave up, not wanting to bust it. With regard to liquid, I flew with it as carry-on just last week with no trouble--of course, you never know with the TSA. The gauges are very visible and worked well. It was a good purchase.
ANDREW S The compass is encased in the gauge housing and is not removable. I'm not sure exactly how much liquid fills the compass (TSA allows 100mL), but you can always check it in your luggage to be safe. Just make sure it's padded to avoid damage.
GUSTAVO P No, it is not removable. I don't think it would be any problem to take it in the cabin.
ROBERT V Yes, the compass is removable.
KEITH Y It isn't easily removed. You shouldn't have any problems with TSA. I always carry my regs on board.
