Shopper Does this pressure gauge swivel?

MELISSA M I do not know how easily it moves with the rubber sleeve (I removed mine) but the gauge does swivel.

MARK E yes. To the best of my knowledge all pressure gauges swivel.

marc P Yes , it does swivel. Although it appears it doesn`t because of the protective rubber that goes all the way down to the hose.

HARVEY C Yes, the gauge swivels on the hose (just as you would want).

Shopper can i replace the standard hp hose with another , shorter one?

GREG W Yes...but why would you want to?

MARK E Yes. It is very easy to change hoses. I have one of the new braided Phantom hoses on my computer.

SCOTT D Not without buying a separate hose. This gauge and hose come as part of a package. It is possible, of course, and easy to change a HP hose. The standard hose isn't very long anyway, I'm not sure why you would want a shorter hose unless you are rigging your gear in a non-standard fashion. Once you've purchased a separate hose and this gauge you can either replace the standard hose yourself or have someone else, preferably a certified technician, do it. Easy.

marc P I don`t think that should be a problem as long as it is functional for you.

Shopper What is the diamater of this gauge? I'm looking for a small gauge for a back up

LUIGI D i was a little disappointed it was much bigger than i had hoped when i received it, it is just under a 2.5 inch diameter (gauge and rubber housing)

KEITH B I don't have the gauge in front of me, but I use mine for the same thing... small, easily packed backup gauge (with no electronics) so I don't have a ruined, or rented, vacation dive. I'd guess it's about 2"... it's about what you'd expect of a single gauge.

DYLAN S Pretty much standard PG sized with the casing around it. ~2 inches. Not particularly tiny, but It's pretty small on its own

Jeff R I own 2 of them for my primary and backup rig. They are about 2-5/8" in diamter. With a caliper it is 2.6". It is easy to read and nice and small.

MICHAEL B This is not a small gauge. It is a standard 2" gauge, with a rather large cover.

John F I have a Suunto three console. My pressure guage is leaking but depth guage and compass are good. Will this guage fit my console?

MARK S Unfortunately, a situation like yours requires a trial and error approach if you are not actually replacing the pressure gauge with the exact model. You will have to buy it, see if it fits then return it if not.

DAVID B I'm not sure if it will fit. This pressure gauge is plastic. It works fine for my redundant air setup. I would recommend a brass gauge for safety on any primary air setup.

ANN K Best answer - maybe. I have an Oceanic gauge system as a back up and it will not fit into that boot. The TUSA gauge is standard size but has a plastic outer ring that makes it just a little wider than standard. If you have a newer Suunto gauge it should work but an older one will be too small.

Brett H Yes, this gauge when removed from it's boot will fit in the sca-343 console spg spot.

Shopper What if the tank has more than 4k PSI? Will the gauge break?

MICHAEL J C I am not an expert,but I would say yes. I think that the gauge and hose is tested to 10% over stated pressure just like a steel tank that saids it can be full 10% over recommended pressure.

JOHN D That kind of question would be best answered by TUSA who has engineers who designed the tolerances for this unit.

GARY H I highly doubt the gage would break if overpressured slightly above 4000 psi as it has to have been designed with a safety factor - usually burst pressure is 1.5 to 3 times the maximum working pressure. That all said, the bigger question is once the gage is over ranged will it still give true and accurate readings. If you intend to use tanks with more than 4000 psi then I would recommend looking for a gage that ranges from zero to 5000 psi. Underwater is not my preferred venue for taking chances.

EMERICH H All Gauge are designed to hold the pressure that they indicate and not to overseed (same thing with the digitals). For this particular Gauge you should not exceed the 4K psi. But just for curiosity why you need more than 4K psi ? Recreational diving tanks are fill normally to 3Kpsi So to make your question clear... yes you will brake the gauge

everything is almost perfect beside one thing. The clear glas (or plexi) is very soft and it is easy to scratch it. Beside that it is great gauge.
