Shopper is there a video or anything to show how to install the transmitter to the high pressure and another video if how it works? also is it reliable? should i get it?
SAL D Suunto website does have videos, but if you can not install a high pressure SPG yourself, then have a professional do it. I had to put it on a 6" HP hose becasue of the layout of my 1st stage. (Also stops others from grabbing the kit by the sending unit) You must have an open HP port, do not discard the analog SPG, any electronic component can fail. I have had to replace the entire unit becasue of flooding after a battery change. You CAN NOT change the battery without replacing the entire cover and o-ring. The self-tapping screws will not remain firm if you re-use the old cover after changing the battery. After about 20 dives it will leak and destroy the circut board, and can not be fixed.
ERIC S I installed on Poseidon reg and didn't want anybody to accidentally pickup the tank first the pressure transmitter so I installed via short piece of high pressure hose, say 6". Also make sure this hose points out the same side as you wear dive computer.

GUR M The transmitter is 100% reliable. I have used it on countless dives and it is so much better having all the data on your wrist than having to check your console. I would highly recommend taking it to your local dive shop than trying to install yourself, as applying too much torque could damage your reg and the transmitter.
JESSE S There is no video that I am aware of. Installation is very simple: Most 1st stages have 2 high pressure ports (they are usually labeled with the letters HP). If you only have one, you will disconnect your hose with the SPG on it. If you have two ports you can keep your SPG (for back up) on it and install the transmitter on the other port. Do not use any lubricants on the threads. Once it is hand tight, use a wrench to just tighten it a bit more.
I've used the Suunto transmitters for years with never a problem. It does have a battery in it that has to be replaced. Every two years I replace the computer battery and transmitter battery (is a good rule of thumb).
Your manual that comes with your Suunto computer will show you how the transmitter works and how to 'pair' it with your computer. Be sure that your Suunto computer is able to use this wireless transmitter.
BARRY W there is nothing that comes with it you dont need anything screw it into high pressure 1st stage tighten sync just before dive. i have not had any problems with it i love it not having a hose i still have a pressurs guage hooked up as a backup i would recommend it
avi a I don't know if there is a video but it is really simple - you just hand screw it in. How it works with your computer may depend on the computer but it is easy and has been very reliable for me for the 4-5 years I have been using it.
