JASON P Are you buying a DVD player, or a dive compass? The Suunto SK7 should work fine anywhere you're willing to dive. If I lost mine, I'd buy another SK7 in a minute.

MICHAEL S Sorry, I meant to say that I normally use them for teaching in zone 1, but have used them during travel to zone 2 without a problem.

MICHAEL S I have 4 of them that I use for teaching that all work in zone 2 (USA). I don't know if SUUNTO makes different versions with compensations specific for each zone.

STEVE P Love this compass! Its easy to read and I like the placement on the BCD. I have a wrist computer and replaced my bulky console, that inlcuded a compass, with a 52 mm OMS SPG.

BROCK P The Dive computers Compass updates to slowly. If your buoyancy isn't good you +/- 10ft by the time it updates. This AWSOME compass Updates QUICKLY and setting heading is SIMPLE and fast. The Retractable cable keeps the compass handy when you want it and out of the way when you don't. A must have IMO

RAYMOND S I find this easier to use than the wrist model. in fact, sold my wrist model to a buddy after I bought this one.

settels fast, glows with only a fast burst from a dive light, numbers easy to read. Very intuitive.

Weak retractor

The retractor spring failed and there is no way to open it up to repair. Unable to replace retractor portion of compass without buying a whole new product. Expected more from Suunto.

I use compasses on a regular basis for diving. This was a replacement for my broken compass. Such a great compass. It is engineered well and sturdy. The dial is easy to read and changes to different heading quickly. The dial also charges quickly with a dive light. The bezel allows you to quickly dial in intended course and works great with 7MM gloves. The retractor is sturdy and has a nice, strong recoil. I am very satisfied with this compass. A little on the expensive side, but well worth the money if you rely on a compass for underwater navigation.

I smashed my 18yr old Suunto integrated compass last month so this was a replacement. I opted for the retractable to avoid another smashing incident. I did some Navigation this morning and really like this setup more. Not much has changed on this compass. Still good quality and a little pricey. I have not been dissapointed in any Suunto products

Long case, hard to secure it down and still leave it functional. Tends to float in the way. Had to clip it low on the BC. Other than that, very good product.
