Questions about this item:
Cris D What is the difference between the D6, D6i and D4i? Thanks
DUNCAN M I don't know, but be aware that getting this computer serviced can be challenging. The warranty is not a life time warranty and after a couple of years my D6 developed problems that were only covered by some type pro-rated warranty ... it was going to cost me $600+ to get a $800 computer repaired two (2) years after I bought it.
I have owned and used a Suunto D6, D4, and now I'm using a Suunto Voop. I chose not to have the D6 repaired and my D4 needs a battery. That is another problem ... Suunto dive computers have to be sent in to the repair shop to have batteries replaced. I live in Nassau so this is not as easy as if I lived in the States.
I like my D6 and my D4, but difficulty with service and routine maintenance had turned me off a bit.
Duncan
SCOTT K I would think LeisurePro would be much better qualified to answer the question since I only have experience with the D6, at least I would hope so

Shopper what is the difference between regular D6 and D6 military?
MICHAEL L Hi there.
There is physically no difference between the 2 models. They both have exactly the functionality.
The military version is completely black opposed to the normal stainless steel face.
You can find quite a number of pictures on the net for the military version.
SCOTT K I have the D6. Sorry but I can't help you. I didn't know there was a D6 military.
Shopper Do the D6 and the D4 count down the safety stop? Do both use the same algorithm?
LeisurePro S Yes, both computers have a safety stop countdown timer and use the RGBM algorithm.
Shopper Does the D6 have a programmable depth warning alarm?
LeisurePro S Yes, you can preset a maximum depth and an alarm will sound when you've reached it.
Shopper Do I need to buy a cable and software to do PC downloads? Do you sell them?
LeisurePro S Yes, the necessary download cable and software for PC transfer can be found here.
Shopper Are the bars on the side just grey and then red? If so, can an alarm be set to alert when going into "yellow" zone?
LeisurePro S Sorry, there are no gradual color changes from yellow to red. Here is the D6 manual so you read about all the decompression alarm details.
Shopper How many dives will the log hold?
LeisurePro S Can log/store 100 hours of diving.
Shopper I need to replace the strap on my D6. Do you stock this?
LeisurePro S Sorry, unfortunately we don't carry replacement bands for the D6.
Shopper I bought from you the D6 half year ago and I lost the big plastic screen protection. I would like to order another one. Is it possible?
LeisurePro S Sorry, unfortunately, we don't carry that specific protector. If you would like, you can check out this watch protector. Otherwise, I would try and get in contact with Sunnto directly.
Shopper Does the D4, D6 have plastic or glass over the face?
LeisurePro S There is no thick plastic or glass cover, but both the D4 and the D6 come with a user-adhered scratch guard (a thinner layer that is stuck on the face of the computer).
Shopper Does the D6 have a barometer or altimeter for above water measurements?
Shopper when not scuba diving, can it be turned off to save battery?
LeisurePro S Yes, it has an auto turn off.
Shopper which size is suunto d6
LeisurePro S Suunto does not provide specific dimensions. This is a watch size computer

Warranty Information
This product has a limited warranty of 24 months.
Whats in the box:Computer, Digital Online Class If you see diving more as a way of life than as a hobby, then the Suunto D6 is the computer for you. By wearing the D6 during your dives, you're able to record information about each dive's maximum depth, directions traveled, time at depth, and decompression information. The easy-to-read display offers you the ability to quickly review your dive's crucial statistics. Because of Suunto's integrated RGBM system, the D6 allows you to make repeated stops at various depths, instead of making a more traditional single safety stop to decompress. This feature allows you to maximize your time below the surface without compromising your safety. If diving with Nitrox, the D6 offers you the ability to easily switch between gases during the dive, which means you can alter your oxygen levels as you ascend, reducing the length of your required decompression stop.
