MICHAEL C Im not sure about the weight even though the line is a very heavy line. The length of line is 400ft.
KENNETH W I belive it has 400 feet of line on it. I am not sure what weight it can support. I used mine 2 weeks ago and without any hesitation, this is the best dive reel I have used!

KONRAD W This is a great reel but the line that comes on it is a little too thin and will tangle you up. I found some pink spectra line in 400lb test for around $30 or $40 and filled the reel with that. It holds more than I can use and the thicker line does not tangle nearly as easy as the line that comes on the reel.
It is a great reel and I love it!

ROBERT D Hugo, I do not know the exact answers to your questions but I have never had to replace the line and it seems to carry plenty of weight when it is used as a reel for a safety buoy and safety sausage. I have used it over 100 times since I purchased it and it has worked perfectly every time. I highly recommend it.
