I am new to scuba diving, but an avid snorkeler. I have tried many fins in the past and these are the fastest, lightest most comfortable fins I have ever used. On a recent trip to the USVI my wife and I decided to get our open water certs. We both bought a set of these at our LDS (For alot more $$)and used them for 7 days straight. I am in less than great shape being 6'1" 295lbs. I NEVER felt strain, excess resistance or even tired for that matter. These are so easy to put on and pull off even under water. For the first time ever I did not have to adjust anything, and frankly did not notice them at all. The flex joints provide amazing power. Great product here.

I'll never by another one like it.
Not only is too soft paddling, but it really breaks too easily.

Comments about Scubapro Scuba Pro Seawing Nova Open Heel Fins:

I had done about 1800 dives on my old fins, but since my arthritis was getting worse, I decided to buy these fins. What a difference! They move you through the water with very little effort.

The only negative is that the fins are so soft that you have to be a little careful to not bend them too much. For instance, when doing a shore entry, don't try to stand on the tips.

One of the reviewers said they felt they weren't very maneuverable. I disagree. We hunt lionfish, plus I occasionally do photography. I don't have any trouble slipping in between corals and sponges and backing back out without touching anything.

      I highly recommend these fins.

Comments about Scubapro Scuba Pro Seawing Nova Open Heel Fins:

I got these fins while ago but i did not write any reviews. Now i have like 70 dives on them.
These fins are fast and comfortable. However, i had quite a painful first few dives with them but the foot pocket opens up a little bit.
They are a little floppy and they do not give you very good control on your kicks. Back kick does not work very well with them.
The bottom line is if you are recreational diver, who dives once in a while and you don't really care to back kick or have extreme control on your kicks these are probably the best fins for you. Otherwise i'd go with Jet fins or Turtle fins.
Hope my review helps you on making your decision.
