These gloves are rugged and very warm, but unlike any other Pinnacle glove I've ever worn, the interior seams have heaped up ridges of glue that feel extremely rough.

When I called Pinnacle and told them that I had a complaint about their Karbonflex gloves, the lady on the phone asked if they were scratchy. Obviously this is NOT an isolated problem. After wearing the gloves while driving and at home while watching TV, the seams have smoothed out a bit.

These gloves are very tough as nails and are in all other ways very good. One other thing that you should be aware of is that this gloves are approximately one size too small. I wear medium gloves and a medium wouldn't even fit past my 2nd set of knuckles.

These gloves are okay as far as warmth, I felt that they were cut small too. I would size up. I'm almost always a small in every other manu gloves, but in these the small crushes my fingers.

In very cold quarry water, I could feel the cold water come in through the seams. I don't think they are as warm as pinnacle suggests. I like my 5mm gold core Henderson gloves better. The kevlar is great though; very flexible and tough as nails. It would be nice to see a merino lined stretch glove like the 7mm Henderson stretch, with kevlar.

Comments about Pinnacle Merino-karbonflex 4mm Glove:

-Many people mentioned the glue on the inside of the glove. I noticed it was abrasive when donning or doffing, but did not notice it while diving.
-The hand of the gloves has a texture on it which looks like it might protect the glove from damage and add some grip for the user.
-I was hoping the merino lining would add some warmth the the thiness of the glove; I wanted a cold water glove with some flexiblity- but these were not as warm as I was hoping.
    -More flexible than thicker gloves.
-Using the downloadable glove sizing chart I was able to pick the correct size and the gloves fit as I expected.
I would recommend a glove liner for these due to the glue on the bindings being exposed.

I use them in the cooler water of Michigan and even in 48 deg. water they kept my hands warm. The kevlar palm also is very durable, after 12 dives they still look just about new.

Just got mine and haven't used them yet; I sent them back to get next bigger size. I definitely recommend getting the next size up. They look and feel very nice and durable, very nimble for 4 mil.
