Shopper I am 5'11" and wear a size 30 and weigh 145 should i get the small or medium ?
IRMA A i would recomend a medioum, thats what i use and those are my dimensions
NANCY D I would go with Small or XS as these tend to run big. If you get a good fit through the midsection, you can usually adjust the straps to get a good overall fit. Good luck.
CHRIS F I bought this one for my wife.
I have a different brand, but am the same build and have a med/lg.
KARL B It's a tough call for me, I'm 6'0" and weigh 235. I have an XL, which was what the Oceanic website recommended. I have nothing bad to say about this BCD; it helped tremendously with my buoyancy control and also was nice taking that weight belt off of my middle, which helped with back issues after diving. Good luck!
ANGELA C Medium. I love this Bcd. It's held up well and I still use it.
JOHN C You didn't specify a gender, so based upon Oceanic's sizing chart you are too tall for a small, but your weight and waist measurements are small for a medium.
SIZE HEIGHT WEIGHT CHEST WAIST
XS 5'0"-5'5" 100-125 26-36" 28-36"
SM 5'2"-5'7" 120-155 30-40" 30-38"
MD 5'7"-6'0" 150-175 34-44" 32-40"
LG 5'11"-6'2" 180-210 38-48" 34-42"
XL 6'2"-6'5" 195-240 40-50" 38-46"
I only stock larges in my rental gear, but I am guessing that you should buy a medium, especially if you are diving in a 5 or 7mm wetsuit. A small would have too short a waist, unless you have an extremely short waist for your height. Of course, the best option is trying on any Oceanic BC and seeing how it fits. Oceanic's sizes across all of their BC's are pretty consistent, so trying on any of their BC models would give a good idea of what size you need. Be sure to wear the thermal protection you will be wearing to dive when you try it on.
