Questions about this item:
Ronald P How does this computer handle decompression dives?
Monica s It will guide you through your safety stops to decompress properly.
Jack B Does it come with a Transmitter?
JOHN G Hi Jack,
No, it does not come with a transmitter. I primarily use this model as a freediving computer and it works well in that capacity. It is fine as a backup to my hosemount computer and I am old-school enough to prefer simpler delivery than wireless transmitters. Hope that helps; you can't beat the price for quality!
STEPHEN W No it does not come with a transmitter.
NICK T The Geo 2.0 does not have a transmitter. Its a great computer I have about 400 dives on mine and have had no problems. Its pretty user friendly as well. If you are looking for one with a transmitter check out the Oceanic VT3
THOMAS B Jack,
They substituted a new style. Not sure what you are asking. The new style does not come with transmitter that would transmit tank air pressure to the watch nor does it come with anything to talk with a PC. I am land locked and don't dive often and was looking for a low cost watch to assist with bottom time on those deeper multilevel dives.
SALLY F I don't believe the Geo has the ability to monitor your tank pressure. If you want that feature, check out the Oceanic Atom. I've used the atom on a number of dive trips and have been very happy with it.
It did fail on a trip to Bonaire and I had to use my backup computer (a Geo) and revert to using a pressure gauge for the rest of the trip.
Once home I sent the Atom in to Oceanic and they repaired it free of charge.
MARK E No. It is a self contained unit and does not operate with a remote sensor or transmitter.
R L No; there is not the regulator module to tank pressure. I believe a more expensive model with address the tank pressure.
ANDREW K No, this is not an air integrated computer.
Shopper Does this one have temperature?
SEONG-HWAN L Sorry. I have a GEO2
GEO2..... Have to temperature.
JAMES G my Geo 2 has temperature in either F or C
LAURA A Yes, I purchased this watch and it does have a temperature read out. When submerged in water it does pretty well, but when just on my wrist it displays about 72 degrees F no matter what. It increases to about 90 in the shower. I think it just needs to be fully immersed in water to give a proper temperature
DANNY T I don't have the old style so i can't answer the answer. The new style DOES have temp reading.
Also, call the store and check the price of the new style. When I bought mine last year, it's less than $50 more than the old style, way cheaper than what the online price was indicating.
Dale K will this show day and date?
SEAN C Yes, day and date are displayed
Shopper Is GEO able to change fron feet to metric ?
I want to use by metric.
JAMES G without looking I am sure my GEO ll is capable of metric.
DENNIS M The Oceanic GEO is equipped for both metric and standard measurement.
BRENT S Yes, it can be used metric
RODRIGO M yes it does, including not only depth but also temp from Fahrenheit to Celsius
DANNY T I don't have the Geo but instead has the Geo 2. When I ordered mine (using phone order, not internet) in May, it was only $299 which is not much more than the original Geo.
Anyway, the Geo 2 does have switchable imperial and metric display so you can switch from ft-M and psi-bar. Hope that answer your question
JOHN S Yes, with the click of a button.
job f Does it has the three minutes stop alarm?
VALERIANO B Yes It does,
You can even set up how long you want to plan your safety stop for.
JASON G Yes the computer will prompt you to stop between the depths of 10-20 feet for three minutes. You can also program it to do deep stops at half the depth of your dive for 2 minutes.
THOMAS B You guys substituted the newer model so I can't answer. If I remember correctly on the newer model this is a programmable feature, you set time and depth
JULIANNE F I actually received the more current model (a GEO 2) -- my assumption was that the GEO I ordered wasn't available, so they swapped it out. I can't answer the question about the alarm on the "old school" model. Sorry!
Julie
WILLIAM B Yes, you may configure the watch for three minutes or five minutes.
C SCOTT D It has a variable stop timer. I have mine set at 5m for 5min but you can chose the depth and the time you prefer.
PETER T YES, it has a 3 min safety stop alarm that you may turn on or off.
STEFAN C Hi Job,
It does not have an audible alarm, but it will show you that you are in the safety stop range and begin counting down. If you go under 20 feet while in the safety stop, it resets and begins the count again once you hit 20 (or less) again.
R L Default setting is 3 minute safety stop at 15 feet. You can turn off the feature. I think you can also adjust the time for the safety stop too, but not sure on that
WAYNE H It does. for the price, it is an outstandingly flexible dive computer. I believe Scuba mag gave it a 'best buy' rating.
LOUIS M yes,,,alarm time and depth can be set where you desire. Also has deep stop alarm of 2 minutes that alarms at one half the deepest depth reached if was below 80 feet; the deep stop can be activated or de-activated as desired. This is for GEO 2.
Shopper What is the difference between this computer and the Aeris Manta computer?
LeisurePro S The Manta and the Geo are the same computer, just branded by different companies. Features are all the same, just slight cosmetic differences.
Shopper Does it adjust for altitude?
LeisurePro S Yes, the Geo automatically detects and adjusts for altitude.
Shopper Is this water activated?
LeisurePro S Yes, the Geo has water activation contacts.
Shopper Which is the right USB cable to buy for the Old Style?
LeisurePro S The USB cable for the Old Style can be found at here.
Shopper How many dives will this log?
LeisurePro S The computer has an in-computer memory of 24 dives.
Shopper What are the differences between the Oceanic GEO Wrist Computer "Old Style" and the Oceanic GEO Wrist Computer? Does this have metric settings? Does it display water temperature?
LeisurePro S The differences are purely cosmetic. The new style has a slightly more stylized case and display, but the functions are identical. Units (metric or imperial) are set by the user and yes, there is a temperature display.
Shopper just wondering what is the difference between this computer and Oceanic GEO Wrist Computer in terms of the function?
LeisurePro S There is no difference in terms of functionality, Oceanic simply updated the styling with the new model.

Oversized Digits Take the Oceanic challenge: When shopping for a new dive computer, compare the displays. When it comes to viewing critical information, which would you rather see at 100 feet? Audible Alarms with Flashing LED Warning Light The GEO features a variety of system and user-customized audible alarms, alerting you to situations that pose a potential danger, or simply serve as a convenient reminder. Audible Alarm Acknowledgement Have you ever had difficulty hearing your computer's audible alarm? Perhaps that little beep signifying a potentially dangerous situation was timed perfectly with your exhaust bubbles rushing past your ears. Or maybe it seemed insignificant as that huge manta ray soared overhead. You won't miss the GEO's audible alarm. Once triggered, the alarm will sound continuously for 10 seconds. We know what you're thinking. "That's nice, I'll definitely hear the alarm, but isn't that going to annoy me and everyone else in the water?" We thought of that too. The alarm's job is to get your attention so that you look at the computer. Once it does that, simply press the button and it will stop. You're a responsible diver and the GEO treats you that way. Air or Nitrox The GEO acts simply as an 'Air' computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road.
