Shopper what is the difference in size options?
PABLO B The one I purchased is XXL. It fits perfectly on my son. He's 11 years old, and weights aprox. 25 kg/ 55 lbs. He dove 5 times so far with it, and it really improved his diving experience a lot, compared to adult size BCDs. It provides also room to grow, and I expect it to fit him for the next 4 or 5 years.
PATRICK B The 8-10 would be comparable to a xxx-small in some other brands. It fits an average size 8 year old very well and comfortable. There is room to grow.
It also has a crotch strap to keep the BCD from rising over the head. Very good quality also.
RUSTY C "I bought two of the Oceanic Youth BCD's for my boys. Child size: 3XS Here's the size of my boy wearing it: Weight: 50 lbs. Height: 4'6". Chest: 24". Waist: 22". He is built with a very thin, skin and bones, type of body. Fits Perfectly !!! Child Size: XXS Here's the size of my other boy wearing it: Weight: 75 lbs. Height: 4'9". Chest: 26". Waist: 26". He is built with more of a normal, no fat, type of body. Fits Perfectly !!! The BCD's are built very nice, sturdy, tough, and have a handle on them too. We've used them for the classroom and pool training with no problems. You won't loose any weights. The weight integration system is extremely tough to get opened because of the velcro that really locks them in place. I don't think the kids could remove them in an emergency, so you would want to possibly use HALF the velcro area when locking them into place. Hope this helps."
