PHILIP N Pretty nice and compact setup, has worked fine so far. You can easily hear the audio alarms under water. You should practice with the computer as it displays a lot of information in a small area so you need to practice glancing at it ( even out of water ) to pick out the important data for the moment so you know what number is what. Our group bought three of these so far.
Shopper I would like to purchase the mission puck 3 but I prefer to have it in Metric and not PSI. Can i swap this SPG with a metric one with the help of a techie at the store?
Frank L We do not have the metric pressure gauge for Mares.
DAVID S I think there may be a setting in the menu to change it to metric but I am not sure. The manual is available online and it is very simple. Read over the manual first.

DAVID S I would just purchase it the way you want it. Nobody uses metric anyway. When the needle gets to the red line begin your ascent. It's simple.

ELBERT W This can be used with any type of open circuit or recreational SCUBA reg. Dive computers such as these are independent of the regulator.

DAVID S Yes. It can be used with any type of reg. it hooks up to your low pressure hose. I bought two, one for me and one for my son, and we are pleased with the performance.

CAMERON C Most (all that I know of) modern 1st stage regulators have a standard HP (high pressure) port. The hose attached to this unit screws into one of the ports of the first stage regulator.

MATTHUGH G Yes this console can be used on any set of regs on your HP port. Although I have found that if you want to shorten the hose, some hose manufactures have a different thread than the mares threads on there regs but there are adapters avaibile that work really great. I don't know the adapter manufacture name. I bought mine at my local dive shop for $10.00. Good luck and safe diving

THOMAS S Computer is metric and easily converts between metric and imperial readings.
It does just about anything you want and is easy to operate with just one button.
THOMAS S Either imperial or metric units can be selected in the set-up menues.

Eric B Does the console have a quick release for the computer?
CHARLES S The console has a molded rubber boot that the computer goes into......it is very similar to the way the pressure gage is contained. You can get the computer out of it, but you have to really work at it.......it's certainly not going to come out by accident.
MATTHUGH G Yes and you can buy the Mares wrist watch to put it in. The wrist watch works nice to streamline your gear.
BIKRAMJIT S Unfortunately not from what I can tell.
Since the computer isn't air integrated, I want to pop it out and put an analogy depth gauge in, and keep the computer on my wrist - will also make it easier to travel with, when I don't want to bring my whole reg set.
But I haven't found a suitable wrist-strap yet.
DAVID S No it does not have a quick release. It is an easy computer to use and is very functional. It is very conservative on the no fly time which kind of freaked me out at first. All in all I like it if I'm not going to use a wrist computer.

The Mission Puck 3 Computer Console uses Mares-Wienke RGBM (Reduced Gradient Bubbles Model) algorithm. The RGBM takes into account the phenomenon of micro-bubbles in order to prevent their formation. In over 10,000 real dives monitored by Dr. Bruce Wienke in the Los Alamos laboratories, the formation of micro-bubbles has been studied and evaluated in order to better understand the mechanism behind how micro-bubbles are formed during a dive. Today it is the most evolved algorithm for reducing the formation of micro-bubbles without compromising dive times. The easy excess push buttons allow the diver to operate the computer in all conditions, even when wearing thick gloves.
