JEFFREY G If you can anchor in an area with rock below the surface you should be fine. Sand might not hold enough for heavier machines in current ?
R M Your "scope" should be 5:1 to the depth which means with the short 25' line, you need to be in 5' depth of water or less. If these are your circumstances, and there is never a guarantee, then it might work for your needs. The 3lb weight is usually sufficient but the question is, is the anchor type appropriate for the ground you are anchoring in? The rope quality seems durable enough for a hold in calm conditions.
