Questions about this item:
Sheila B Does the Genesis Resource Pro Computer Module (which is 2.1 diameter) fit the wrist band accessory which is only 1.75 diameter -- it doesn't appear to me that it would fit an I don't want to order it if it does not. If not, can you recommend a wrist mount that it will fit into.? Thanks
EARLY E I do not know, I purchased it to fit a console I no longer have.
CARL L I have five Resource Pros. They are all mounted in consoles. The R.P. comes with an adapter to alow you to instal it in the 2.5" hole made for the average analogue depth gauge. Without the adapter the R.P. is 2.2" Dia. x 0.9" thick and fits in a console measuring 2.0" at the opening.
Hope this helps.
K T I do not know if it fits. I do not have the wrist boot. That said, I think it will fit because sometimes the size of computers are given as display size. The display size of the Genesis is 1.75" but the outside diameter is 2.1".
Sheila B is there any way you can check the wrist boot to see if that is the case before I order it?
KEVIN O The outer diameter of the Genesis Resource Pro is 2 1/8 inches. It will not fit the 1 3/4 inch wrist band.
Sheila B Yeah, I figured that out already -- I need to know if you have a wristband that WILL FIT this computer.
SCOTT L I cant give a definitive answer because i use a console but the opening in my console for the module is about 1.75 in. I have to bend the rubber back and work the module in. Once in, the rubber covers all of the black module outer casing(except where the button is). Hope that helps.
Sheila B We tried that and it does NOT fit my console - slightly too big. Can someone there try to fit this computer in that particular wristband to be able to tell me it will or will not fit so I can order it or not?
SCOTT L Again i cant say for sure but my module doesn't seem like it would fit. I have to bend my console in half at the empty module hole, then push the module in one side, then bend it back. i thought most consoles used standard sizes but i could be wrong about that.
Sheila B No they are not all universal (we thought so also); like I said we were able to remove one of the gauges from the console but could not, not matter how much we tried, to get the computer into the console. So I take it you cannot find me a wrist band at Leisure Proto fit this computer???
SCOTT L I'm just a diver like you. Not sure if this link will work. You can use the Sherwood/Genesis wrist boot.
Edit... Wouldn't let me include a link.
LARRY S Sorry no it wont. However If you can find a retrackable mount with a clip it will work. Then you could clip it onto bc.
RICHARD H Sorry, I don't know that answer. I plugged mine into my console as like don't like anything on my wrists/hands. It has been a great computer and is very easy to use though.
JIMMY M I have never attempted to use a wristband for the Resource Pro module. My wife and I use them in a trailing console with pressure gauge and compass. We find the computers to be very user friendly and a little on the conservative side as far as the decompression analogs seem to work.
Sheila B i NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE THAT WILL FIT AS A WRISTBAND
DANIEL W I don't know.
Sheila B then you shouldn"t have it as an accessory if it does not fit>
CARMEN T Unfortunately, I bought it as a watch, removed it ,and dropped it in my console. It is a great dive computer,
Sheila B We tried that and it doesn't fit my console, just slightly too large.
Shopper Is this a Nitrox computer or not? This question has been asked and the answer was no but it says right on the face Nitrox mode.
STEVE S This is NOT a nitrox computer. And as good a computer as it is, the battery dies within 6-8 dives or 6 months if left unused in storage. The batteries are cheap so buy lots of them. You'll need one always at a bad time. I bought this computer for contingency diving(diving deeper and longer than recreational limits). It is awesome for that. Good luck!
KEVIN O The Genesis Resource Pro I purchased in 2008 is not a Nitrox computer. Either Genesis upgraded the unit since then or Leisure Pro is showing the wrong picture on the website.
JOHN L You: The Genesis React Pro is Nitrox capable. I am unsure of the Resource Pro. I have the React pro and is somewhat easy to program
