Solid construction, easy to use, very durable, by far one of the best dive buey's Ive seen. Had a hard time finding a place to stow this due to it being a little bulky. One draw back to this buey is that you cannot place your dive light within the buey to illuminate it at night. I fixed this by just adding a marker strobe to the top. This buey will work when you need it most, very good investment.

I purchased this for night diving and open Ocean Wreck diving. The reflective tape and large size are perfect for recovery if currents bring you up away from the boat, visible even in swells. I added a compact strobe with a quicklink to the top of the buoy for additional safety. Combine these with a storm whistle, and your odds of recovery are even greater.

I have not 'had' to use them yet, but practicing with them and having them along on the dive brings confidence and peace of mind.

NOTE: This item is bulky. I added a pouch (small 1/2 mesh Eagle Creek) to the bottom of my BC backplate (using zip ties and quick links) to hold the SMB, strobe, and finger spool. This keeps it within easy reach and out of the way during my dives. The pouch attached by quick links makes it easy to add or remove based on my dive environment or needs.

I would NOT purchase this for daytime river drift diving. Most people would want an SMB that is MUCH smaller as there are typically not ocean sized swells on a river limiting visibility.

Was easy to inflate and did exactly as it was supposed to do. Not overly bulky, not tiny either. Probably should have come with a clip.

This is large, not a little "sausage". It is exactly what I hoped it would be. I would definitely buy this again.

Little bigger then I expected. Had to make some modifications to make it able to clip to my bc. Weight pouch and reflective tape are a great add on to this smb.
