Grisha G What is the difference between these fins and Cressi pro star?
WILLIAM T I am sorry I can not give you a good answer to your question. I have never sen nor used a pair of Pro Star fins.
I can tell you that so far the Free frog fins have been a good purchase.
LUKASZ C Hi Grisha, they are all most the same similar design the same material, the only difference is the length, the free frog are shorter, if you need more power under the water (free diving or spearfishing) go with pro star for scuba or snorkeling free frog are great.
ROY R free frog is much faster and it last me longer
JESUS M I don't really know what the difference in function is but, I did however do a comparison and noticed the Pro Stars seem to have a more narrow but stiffer fin blade and are made from a heavier material. At first i thought the Pro stars were the Free Frog replacement, seeing how the Free Frogs seem to be on a never ending clearence. However I've owned a pair of Free Frogs Since 2000 and just replaced them earlier this year with a new pair. I do alot of free diving in the keys and they have never let me down. In my opinion, why pay the extra money? For $30 bucks, you can't go wrong with the Free Frogs, I sure got my moneys worth! I love my Free Frogs and wouldn't trade them for anything... Hope this helps and good luck...
BRAIDY P I don't really know the difference between the two but these are really great fins, they have worked great for me. If I had to guess the difference between them would probably be stiffness.
Grisha G Braidy, thanks for the answer.
Do you know which type is stiffer?
Also I think that Pro Star is made out of Polypropylene and Free Frog out of Acetal Copolymer. Do you know if that is true?
BRAIDY P im not sure on which one is stiffer and I'm also not sure of the material, i know i spent some time looking for flippers and I'm glad i went with the free frogs. they are a good length, fit good and work for what i use them for. the only thing i had a problem with was they are not true to size. i wear a size 11.5 to 12 shoe so i got the large ones and had to get one size smaller.
