Like all triple sensor Pro Trek models, the PRW2500 features easy-one-tough operation of its Altimeter/Barometer, Compass and Thermometer. A reconfigured duplex LCD layout provides optimal upper & lower LCD layout for information at-a-glance when you're on the go. In addition to numerical and trend graph data, unique arrow icons help to indicate characteristic barometric pressure patterns. 656' (200 meters) water resistance has also been employed to ensure strong water resistance for river trekking & rafting where one would encounter strong water pressure. The addition of tide & moon graph/data provides convenient information for sea kayaking and fishing.
Multi-Band Atomic Timekeeping: Watch receives time calibration radio signals which keep the displayed time accurate up to 6 times per day. A manual receive function can be used for quicker updates. The radio signals used are as follows: US WWVB, UK MSF, Germany DCF77, and Japan JJY40/JJY60 with frequency: US 60 kHz, UK 60 kHz, Germany 77.5 kHz, Japan 40/60 kHz, China BPC 68.5 kHz. Watch has a Tide Graph giving tide level for specific date and time, and moon data giving moon age of the specific date and moon phase graph.
Digital Compass with16 points of measurement with a range from 0 to 359 degrees and measuring unit of 1 degree. Compass has 20 seconds continuous measurement function, graphic direction pointer, bidirectional calibration and northerly calibration function. Compass also has magnetic declination correction and a bearing memory. Altimeter has a measuring range from -2,300' to 32,800' (-700 to 10,000 meters) with a unit measurement of 20' (5 meters). Altimeter has manual memory measurement (up to 14 records, each including altitude, date, and time), high altitude memory and reference of altitude setting, and altitude differential.
The barometer has a display range of 260 to 1,100 hPa (7.65 to 32.45 inHg) and displays in units of 1 hPa (0.05 inHg). Other displays of the barometer are atmospheric pressure tendency graph, atmospheric pressure differential graphic and barometric change indicator. The thermometer display range is from 14 to 140 degrees F (-10 to 60 C) and displays units of 0.2 F (0.1 C) and is low temperature resistant to 14 F (-10 C). Watch has a full auto EL backlight with afterglow, world time with 31 times zones (48 cities), city code display, daylight saving on/off.
The countdown timer measuring units of 1 second with a countdown range of 1 to 60 minutes, in 1-minute increments, a reset time of 1 to 5 minutes (1-minute increments), a time-up alarm, progress beeper, 1/100 second stopwatch with a measuring capacity of 23:59'59.99'. Additionally measuring modes for elapsed time, split time, 1st-2nd place times. There are 5 independent daily alarms, hourly time signal, and battery level indicator, power save function, full auto-calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2099), 12/24 hour formats, and button operation tone on/off.
Watch is accurate +/- 15 seconds per month (with no signal calibration). The Solar Rechargeable Battery when fully recharged has an approximate 5 month life between recharges (without further exposure to light) and 23 months on full charge with Power Saving Function (without further exposure to light). Watch has a neutral face, comes with a titanium band and includes an Owner's Manual. Watch measures 2.22" x 1.99" x 0.60" (56.3 x 50.6 x 15.0 mm) and weighs 4.0 oz (115 g) and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.
