Two questions: Does this vest add noticeable buoyancy? In terms of sizing, I have a size 10 Henderson wetsuit. How does this vest run?
This did not add too much more buoyancy and the sizing is "true to fit". I am glad I purchased this and have used it many times on top of my full length wetsuit for that extra warmth.
I have to add 2-3 pounds more weight when I dive wearing this vest. I bought the vest in the same size as my wetsuit and it fit the same.

I can't answer the buoyancy question because I haven't used it yet but it did seem to run a bit small. I have a size 11 neosport wetsuit and initially purchased a size 10 vest but felt it was just too snug. I changed it for a size 12 and it is much more comfortable, still close to the body but not strangulation close.
Yes the vest adds buoyancy- more than my 2.5 mm zipped vest. But it is great for adding warmth for warm and cold water diving.
I have a size 8 Henderson 5 mm and size 8 Neopsort 7 mm full suit and use a 10 Neosport XSPAN 5/3 mm hooded vest to wear over or under either or these suits. I also have another Henderson front zipped vest and I noted the same- I have to go to a size 10 for the vest, whereas I usually wear size 8 suits. I am 5'2" and weigh 115 pounds, and I have broad shoulders.
I love the vest- it is stretchy and easy to get on and off, and is a quick way to add some warmth to your diving, which I especially appreciate because I tend to do long dives and multiple dives in a day in the tropics, or I do colder water diving. The price looks great right now.

The vest adds maybe 2 lbs in salt water, less in fresh. My only complaint about the vest is that I wish it were a bit longer. So, if you're considering buying a 10, maybe a 12 would be a good idea. Just my sense. Good luck, Nancy
Buoyancy - yes, it will increase buoyancy somewhat. Just do a buoyancy check before your dive and add a pound or two if necessary.
Neo-Sport XSpan products have a lot of stretch so it will fit a variety of body shapes and sizes. I wear a Henderson 16, and the extra large NeoSport was perfect for me. I have a short neck and was concerned about the hood fit, but the multidimensional stretch takes care of everything.
Finally, this hooded vest, along with my 5mm Henderson wetsuit, was a perfect combination for me on a 107' deep dive at temps down to 45*. YMMV.
Hope this helps.
This will add some but not dramatic buoyancy and runs true to size according to the size chart. The additional thermal protection is well worth the marginal increase in buoyancy IMHO.
No it doesn't add considerable buoyancy. However, I usually wear it with a 7/8 mm semidry so the hooded vest is negligible in comparison to my thick suit.
As far as sizing on the vest, it's been a while since I bought it, but if I remember correctly it ran true to size based on the size chart. It fit perfectly when it came.
I did not notice a buoyancy difference. Size runs true.
The vest does not add any buoyancy issues and it seems true to size. It is lightweight and very comfortable? I love mine - I wear it under my 7 ml wetsuit due to cold water diving.
Yes, it does add noticeable buoyancy but is easily compensated and I have no problem ascending once it is wet. I also have a size 10 wetsuit (Aqualung) and my vest is a size 8, seems to run pretty true to size.
It's an awesome vest. The cut out around the face is bigger than other hoods, so it doesn't constrict or get in the way of the mask. No noticeable increase in buouyancy. Runs true to size.
No not noticeably. And it works very well for slowing the water transfer down the back too. Best fits true and snug
